Maybe back when he was a janitor who had a band and was dating a waitress it felt comfortable and made sense, when it was looking increasingly likely that his mop pushing days would soon be behind him, he felt that he needed someone whose schedule and priorities are align with that kind of life. He probably didn't predict that his priorities would change.

@@johngammon963 Yeah, this was the 90's. Way past the era when someone wanted to stay with the same person they met at 20 for life.

I don't think, quite frankly. If he used her, he would have chased her from the beginning which isnt the case here apparently.

@@endlessnameless6494 ok but Kurt was a big fan of Sid Vicious and he surely saw Sid and Nancy film, therefore, he knew Courtney before she knew who he was. Courtney is not a bad person, she was as troubled as Kurt was. That's why they loved each other, you don't know how their lives together was outside cameras.

I think thats great that Crist married and stayed with the same girl from before his fortune and fame amd he brought he along for the ride. He's got to be one of the realest of real men who ever lived let alone lived as a rock star

Wtf first of all he was a grown man and Courtney couldn't do much to help, if someone wants to kill themselves they're going to do it regardless. Stop blaming his wife that he loved for stuff she doesn't even had control of.
