In this video former Nirvana bassist Krist Novoselic opens up on how he really feels about what ended up happening to his friend Kurt Cobain. I talk about how Kurt & Krist met and how their friendship begun going way back to their high school days. Krist also mentions Foo Fighters & if Nirvana would still be around today. I commentate and give my opinion on what 'could have been' for example a possible Cobain solo album.

After 30 years, after ALL the times krist and Dave have repeatedly, repeatedly said it wasnt Courtney, they never even did so much as imply it--after all this damn time, you guys are still locked into you Q-anon type conspiracy theories--it’s so just kinda funny to me at this point--IF it was, don’t u think Dave or krist would’ve cracked and come out with it by now--I mean, seriously, who, would have a better sense of the whole situation than THOSE TWO DUDES??--I don’t know, I guess if ur just stubborn in your theories, and have ZERO clue what the disease of depression is, and how it can ruin a persons mind, I guess you could hold on to your delusions. And, yes, I have seen “soaked in bleach” or whatever it’s called, and as always, docs like that interview these NOBODIES, who barely knew Kurt, or claim they knew him, and they talk about, idiotically about what a happy, happy, happy, happy, funny person he was --it’s just you guys have no clue what it is to be clinically, possibly psychotically deppressed--some of us do. Furthermore, some one as drug addicted and sloppy as Courtney,,there’s just no way in hell, someone with her recklessness, could pull off murdering, literally, the most famous man in the world.....before the worlds eyes,,and everyone in their scene’s eyes....and I don’t know, the obtuse-ness of the conspiracy theorists just boggles my mind

@@vincentvancraig Instead of focusing on what people say, how about focusing on what the science says. The amount of heroin in kurt was about 300% higher than the highest recorded amount anyone has survived. He would have been unconscious before even getting the needle out. Yet all of the equipment were absolutely cleaned and put pack in the box. Then he would have had to take the shotgun, instead of sitting on the stool that was there, he went on the floor to lay down (like perhaps he was unconscious at that time and faking the stool shooting was impossible) and then shot himself. But the shell had flown to opposite direction of where it should have, even though there was nothing there to ricochet it, except there was another dude who pulled the trigger. Kurt's case cannot be more clear murder unless there are lots of witnesses with cameras. The dude had divorce papers ready, only missing his signatures, but he would kill himself and leave everything to the woman who he hate? The "suicide note" has two different writers. Courtney had a paper filled with her training to write as Kurt, she was so in drugs that she left the backpack to her lawyer who found the paper. And that style matches with the suicide note. There are people who can be brainwashed to think whatever the establishment wants just by declaring something as conspiracy theory. when in fact most of the so called theorists are looking things from the perspective of physics, math, hard sciences and logic. Then media pushes the insane narratives like Qanon and flat earth and the common folk is now brainwashed. It's the oldest for of information warfare and it seems to work with the normies no matter how long it's been used. Realize this, and actually thoroughly look into the evidence before spouting shit, or just ignore the whole topic if you are not interested. AmericanSpyFox KZbin channel's Nirvana series has all the evidence. It also has the interview of Dr.Cyril Wecht who is the most experienced and most renounced criminal pathologists who already was big enough to be handled the JFK case, and most of the big cases since. He has done 21000 autopsies, supervised 41000 and he says there's no case where someone has taken a ton of heroin and then shot himself. And also the fact about the heroin level. You couldn't have more clear motive on top of that, and there's tons of direct evidence against the person who has all the motive in the world to end Cobain. Maybe also after realizing that case you should open up and look into the most important "conspiracy theories" as most of them can be 100% proven by physics alone, and there's usually enough other types of evidence too for those without great skills in physics.

@@laura-qh9xp Check my answer to Vincentcancraig, Courtney wasn't the one who shot Cobain up after he was out, both with heroin and shotgun, but she was 100% behind those acts. There is so much proof that when you see it, you cannot believe that it wasn't investigated and Courtney wasn't arrested.

Much of the time he said whatever he felt like - quite how much of it was true we’ll never really know. I think its a little more complicated than that. I'm in long term (10+yrs) recovery from heroin addiction, and it would make me really sad if Anyone Ever summed up even the worst parts of my life that way. Being "out of his mind on heroin" isn't a proper excuse or rationalisation, and it shouldn't b a reason to write off the behavior of anyone. Even at their worst junkies still think and feel, probably a lot more than most people. Drug addicts, at least the ones I've met and known, are incredibly sensitive people, that's why they use in the first place!!!! Idk why I look at these comments. Its just a distilling of the world's attitudes about junkies, and heroin addiction in general. If u don't have Personal experience with it maybe u should keep it to yourself. Man I think kurt really did kill himself. I think he booted up enough to end his life and when he was feeling at bliss from the heroine he shot himself. The weird stuff like all the needles and drug paraphernalia put back in the box was probably the cops first on scene. I think they just screwed up and put all the stuff in the box before taking pictures. Love canceled the credit card because she hadn't heard from kurt. Kurt was known to give his credit card to people so they could get his drugs so kurt didnt have to leave the house to get his supplies of drugs. I could be wrong but I think the private investigator just wanted a bit of fame. In reality we all will never know the truth. He was going thru allot of fame, drug use, anxiety, and stomach problems. He was in pain. I think he had ibs or celiac disease and all that stuff combined especially in a drug state of mind was enough for him. He was a very humble person from what I read. I dont think he enjoyed the fame really. Well what came with the fame. You could see allot of his anxiety somtimes in clips. The only thing I want to know is if his friend who bought him the shotgun for him was with him at the gun shop. That's an un answered question I can't find anywhere. I still have my doubts about his suicide. I do think courtney knew he was dead before hand and wanted media attention. But if she did it or not. Who knows

But in hindsight, I do remember Kurt looking more relaxed and happy than I ever saw him in the years after they hit it big. I think success really messed with his head. Kurt and Courtney had a co-dependent relationship. She was the enabler and he was the victim. No different to any other co-dependent relationships I am sure we have all seen at some point in our lives. Maybe we ourselves have been stuck in one, or loved ones we have seen as we watch on in horror. It's pretty clear that the victim either gets the hell out of dodge or suffers an horrendous outcome. Throughout the years Courtney Love has tried her hardest to appear reformed and healed, but her highly narcissistic personality type just cannot help itself. It rears up and enters into the fray even many moons after the dust of her former chaos has settled.

It's never fair to ask someone who lost a dear friend or loved one to suicide whether or not they could have been saved, because they will go on the rest of their lives wondering what they could have done, and the fact is, it's a moot point. In most cases, no, there's nothing anyone could've done. And it's not the fault of anyone that it happened. But they have to go on living with a heaping pile of survivor's guilt, anyway. Suicide is tragic, whether you're a rock star, loved the world over, or someone unknown with few friends and no family to mourn you. That things can make you so miserable that you see no way to change your circumstances but to bring your life to an end is an unbearable reality to face.

@Crow-WatchingHermit 3 жыл бұрын
@@mikejones-vd3fg The way I see it, there's no reason to lay blame. We've been doing it since the dawn of time, and it has yet to end suicides. We certainly are all connected, but we're all experiencing life in individual ways, and no matter what our circumstances, we're all just human beings, struggling through existence. We're all bound to respond to the human experience in infinite different ways, and some people will endure pain that, for whatever reason, they don't believe they can overcome. I'm not interested in whose fault it is that they choose to exit rather than soldier on. It's their life. You and I don't have to justify our choice to continue living, and those who end their lives don't have to justify their choice, either. All we can do is try to ease the suffering of other people every time we're faced with an opportunity to do so. It won't make the choice for the people we encounter, but maybe it might give them one more reason to stick around and see what the world has to offer that they haven't seen yet.

''I don’t think I could ever do a solo thing, the Kurt Cobain Project.'' ''I know we’re (Nirvana) gonna put out one more record, at least, and I have a pretty good idea what it’s going to sound like: pretty ethereal, acoustic, like R.E.M.’s last album.''

Interesting take re: Nirvana's record sales and their legendary status. I was an AM radio kid, then an FM radio/MTV kid, rock and pop music fan since the age of four, born three years after Kurt. I'm fascinated by all things rock but detested "Teen Spirit" the moment I heard it thirty-two years ago and never warmed to it or much else by Nirvana as the decades progressed. Taste in music though is personal and not a big deal. Interesting to read another's thoughts on Grohl's enduring legacy, Nirvana's tremendous album sales and their legendary status over the decades.

My ex always tried to make the point that suicide is the ultimate autonomous decision that one can make and no one can take that right away from them. While I can understand that viewpoint, suicide solves nothing. I’d imagine that at least 85-100% of the time someone decides and actually commits suicide I guarantee they’re not in a centered frame of mind. I guess all I’m trying to say is if you’re suicidal and you feel like you’re ready, try to stop or at least postpone and give some though to the possibility that the power to turn things around is in your hands and there are people who can help you get back on track. The world is shit, people are shit, but it’s all the beautiful moments in between that make sticking around worth it. Don’t just give up y’all. We’re all in this shit together.

10 years battling heroin addiction here. When your deep in it, and I feel like every user gets like this at some point or another, you start to contemplate suicide, because you just can't see a pathway to recovery. I've been in and out of detoxes and sober living and the sort for years now and I always seem to just fall back into it. Its like I have a hole in my soul that only heroin can fill. If you don't use it's hard to explain, but it's a hell of an addiction. When I think about Cobain, and his choice to commit suicide, I don't think he made a stupid choice, I feel like some people just can't escape it and maybe death truly is a better alternative. Again, if you haven't been through it, don't act like you can even begin to comprehend the nightmares and struggles of using. Who am I to judge? Who am I to say? Maybe he made the right choice, who knows.

I think that both Krist and Dave have really made a collective, concerted effort to respect and honor Kurt’s memory by resisting the prodding and urges to say negative things about him, and by avoiding as much as possible things like gossip and trash talking. I think that they deliberately self-censor some of the harsher or more critical thoughts and feelings that they might have about Kurt in an effort to remain positive and focus on the good things that Kurt brought into this world, as well as their own lives. That’s the feeling that I get from both of them. I started following them in 1988 when I was 12 and finally realized somewhere around 2005'ish that they're a lost cause. The hadn't won a single playoff game since their Superbowl appearance in 1989 (still haven't won a PO game as far as I know), and I've never even been to Cincinnati (I'm from Oklahoma), so why TF do I care about this NFL team? lol...Honestly, I just lost interest in the NFL altogether. @@Tom_Van_Zandt Yea,life is pretty tough being a Bengals fan. I have been a fan of the Bengals my entire life. I started following them in 1989 when Boomer Esiason was their quarterback,Icky Woods and James Brooks was their tailbacks and Tim Mcgee was their best receiver. They had probably the best offensive line in the NFL that season. Guys like Anthony Munoz,Max Montoya and Dave Lapham. They also had a great coach in Sam Wyche, but they just couldn't stop Joe Montana and Jerry Rice on the last 49ers drive of the game. I thought Marvin Lewis did an excellent job drafting and developing players under the ownership that he had in Cincinnati. With Mike Brown being very conservative with money in free agency Marvin Lewis was still able to put solid rosters together that made the playoffs several times but never won a playoff game as well. Their best chance was 2005 when Carson Palmer led that team to a 11-5 record and scored more points than any team in the league that season. It was just bad luck that he blew out his knee against the Steelers in that 2005 playoff game. That 2005 team was the best team the Bengals had since their super bowl appearance in 1989. I think they have a great QB right now in Joe Burrow along with Joe Mixon in the backfield. They just need a better offensive line to protect the quarterback and also open up running lanes for Joe Mixon. They hired a new head coach,(Zac Taylor) who hasn't done a very good job drafting and developing players,so I look for this team to finish last in the AFC North again this season. I just don't think Zac Taylor has the credentials or experience to lead this Bengals team to a playoff appearance or win. They have some pieces to build around, but ownership needs to spend the money and hire an experienced head coach with playoff success. Yes,it's been very tough being a Bengals fan these past few decades!! Lol..

He said he exists in the "plane" between Earth and "heaven" a kind of gray place and has not found his way to "the light". @@wildomegamusic I can't stand when anyone says that all new music sucks -- esp. from people of my generation (Gen X, the Nirvana generation) because those people resemble snobby Baby Boomers who have not yet figured out that they are nerds like the rest of us. When people say that, what it really means is that they have no idea how to listen to music and/or where to find it. it is not our job to judge music -- it is our job to listen to the musician, try to figure out what they are saying with it, and then maybe decide if you agree with it or not. my guess is that most Baby Boomers do not have the cultural context to even begin to understand what Nirvana was doing because they lived through the 1980s trying to shut down everything Gen X did with the satanic panic b/s.

It's scary how much I identify with Kurt and "doing that". I've felt that way my whole life. Some of us are just wired that way. Now I'm middle aged and I still feel that way. I could never do it. I've learned that about myself, but I still want to d*e somedays. It's just a get out of jail free card I keep in my back pocket, and knowing it's there is oddly comforting, and if things ever get unbearable enough I can play that card. But knowing how much it would hurt the people I care about keeps me from ever considering that as an option. I'll just live till I die, In The Fade, like Queens of the Stone Age. RIP Kurt.

awww..You are living with clinical depression, just as Kurt and I and many others have. But I did something about it, because I know exactly how you feel. You might want to, I highly suggest this, get on a mild anti depressant. I would suggest Prozac or Wellbutrin. I have tried them all, and those are two oldies but goodies. "Standbys" I call them. I was on both alternately for about 10 years. I then just got so busy and involved with my modeling and dancing,I am a ballerina, and I just didn't feel the need for the anti depressants any longer. I wish you all the best sweetie and please don't ever waste your precious life! I don't mean to sound pushy or presumptive. Sending you Much love from Paris,Pia Paradis 🎸

My experience has been similar to yours, struggling with depression off and on from my teens up to my 40’s. Like you, I refused to put my loved ones through the horror, so I never acted on those feelings and got what help I could, even checking myself into hospital one particularly grim night. But one thing about living with suicidal thoughts for decades is that you get used to the idea of dying. So, when cancer came for me, I was able to accept the diagnosis and I’m helping my family to deal with it. Still fighting, but it has become apparent over the last few weeks that the fight will end sometime in 2024. I hope to face it with grace, and I look forward to the peace that will follow. Hope you live well for a long time yet, and go peacefully when your time comes.

@@wattage2007 People in Seattle were pressuring Kurt to begin juggling on stage. Many people don`t know that he was better than most Japanese jugglers and the fans of this amazing talent of his felt extremely betrayed. This sent him into a downward spiral because you can`t juggle, play guitar, and sing at the same time. He would always juggle while laying down vocal tracks to help himself keep time and on isolated vocals you can hear it. His death was a sad day for circus fans. But many of them had been stalking him and perhaps he would have never bought that shotgun if they would have simply left him alone.

Secondly, Grohl says these things I stated in a 2018 PBS News Hour interview. Look it up. Lastly, selling out means changing who you are in order to achieve financial/celebrity status. What did Grohl change about himself? Can celebrity and success not be achieved without selling out? Foo Fighters stayed in the game long enough to achieve fame and success. Seems the whole Courtney murder theory /conspiracy is not supported by anyone who was really close to Kurt in that last year of his life. Anything is possible but one must factor in the likelihood of events. The likelihood for murder is much lower than suicide. I've watched countless interviews, documentaries ,etc from each side . Here we have yet another testimony of someone close to him who says it was suicide. A heart broken best friend who spent his last years and months with him. Suicide appears to be the unfortunate reality. ⭐

I just find it very hard to believe he injected himself with that much heroin, put the needle away nicely in his heroin kit and proceeded to pick up a shotgun and pull the trigger! Only Courtney kept pushing that into media. Besides all that he had a 3 times over lethal dose of heroin in his body. He wouldn’t have been able to even sit up with the gun in position. He was either already dead from the heroin or unconscious before someone else put the gun in the position and pulled the trigger to make the scene look like a suicide. It has even been proven that Seattle police botched the whole investigation and looking back on it the former chief admitted that if he were still chief he would reopen the case because he believes there was foul play involved.

I remember reading Kurt saying that he was interested in releasing a blues album. What happened to Kurt Cobain was a tragic shame.

In another interview with Kurt Cobain, he mentions that he was interested in rendering an album of the typical guitar sounds, but with a more electronic feel to it. It's just not fair what happened to him; if he took his life or something more sinister, this shouldn't have been a result of death. No matter what, Cobain will always live brightly inside the hearts of so many people. We miss him, but we're not gonna crack.

Sadly when you’re heavy into opioids or heroin you feel like you’re on a train going 1000mph and there’s no way to get off. You wanna quit but even after the withdrawals there’s a hole in your soul that’s always there.

Nah. Not when your successful. Kurt was divorcing kourtney and he was her meal ticket. She absolutely had him killed.

@@_RobBanks First of all, I'll never take anyone who doesn't know the different between 'your' and 'you're' seriously. Secondly, success doesn't fix the gaping hole in your soul after the heroin is out of the picture, people who are successful and have had an H problem will tell you the same thing.

How could anyone who was as interment with Kurt as Krist ever explain how he felt after something SO painful and personal as the sudden death of his close friend, especially when the entire world is watching?! I think what he said covered it.. “ he just shouldn’t have done that.” Nirvana( for me) was a band that smacked me upside the head as a teen that didn’t know my place in the world and was subconsciously searching for a place to belong. Like many outsiders who didn’t fit the stereotypical mold of “ normality,” I found comfort in and solace in music, art and defiance! When I saw smells like teen spirit on MTV, I paid attention to this band reeking chaos in their schools gym! From then, the flood gates opened! At 16 I got to see Nirvana play one of their last ever shows in Boise Idaho in December of 1993… I haven’t the words to express what that night did for my soul! I felt as though belonged to something massive and special! Sadly four months later Kurt left this world and that sadness ( no mater who you were, what music you saluted) was a hard gut punch and was felt by -everyone! There was such a feeling of loss from me and my peers. “ what now?” Magic movements like that happen very seldom and I will forever be great full that I got to, at least have a peak, at something that REALLY touched my heart and soul! Thank you sincerely to all the remaining members of Nirvana for never quitting and to keep rockin!!!❤😃👍

I saw Kurt's daughter in a video the other day and thought "Why did he abandon all that? She's so lovely".
