Sarah, a baby as young as Malakai actually doesn't know how to self regulate, that's what they need you for. It's normal for them to wake throughout the night at this age. I find it's just easier to accept that and realise its just a season that doesn't last forever!
@torilawson62622 жыл бұрын
Seriously, how does she not know this? 🙄
@autumnburns1682 жыл бұрын
Ahhh so glad someone said this. Love her page & she’s clearly an amazing mum but makes me sad to think so many people could come to think it’s normal for babies to self soothe 😣
@marcelasanchezpmu2 жыл бұрын
I was like “ did I hear that right?” Self regulate self soothe?? A 3 month old?
@monikaniebrzydowski20992 жыл бұрын
Actually developmentally, the beginning stages of babies learning to self-sooth is at 3 months, with 6 months being the average age where they typically are able to self-sooth mostly on their own. So Sarah isnt completely wrong here! Its early, but its a normal developmental age.
@julierichardson2842 жыл бұрын
I know I think what she means is he can't stitch his sleep cycles together himself (which is completely normal for such a small baby) - how on earth would a baby of any age have the brain capacity or ability to soothe himself?! Babies "self soothing" is a total myth and my almost 4 year old is sometimes up this often in the night. Expectations need to be realistic in my opinion

Dont listen to those people telling you you need to sleep train, cause you dont! when my grandma had 9 children do you think she sleep trained them? nope she went with their schedule and i would do the same for yours! My son has been sleeping with us since he was a newborn and i have no regrets if he didnt sleep with us than i couldnt monitor him close by. especially when he almost choked on his vomit one time and he was sleeping with me if he was in the other room i would have never heard him even with a baby monitor i sleep hard so i dont hear anything when hes next to me i feel better. do what you want to do and dont listen to others!! ;)

Babies do not know how to self soothe and they shouldn't. They need they're mother not only for eating but for comfort and cuddling and warmth. It's honestly bizzare that people think babies need to "self soothe or self regulate" if babies end up not crying during the night to eat, it's because they cried so much that their cortisol levels went up so high and then they went tk sleep out of pure exhaustion. So so sad.

Babies don’t learn to self sooth at that age. It’s literally not in their brains to do it. Yes, you can let them cry and it make look like they are self soothing when they eventually stop but they are just full of anxiety and realize that mom or dad aren’t going to help them any more. So what it does is cause them unneeded anxiety and stress when parents don’t help them and let them “self soothe”.
@NatalijaTurk2 жыл бұрын
Definitely hating becuase im jealous... But you didnt really have kids on you own, lets be real... Exactly!!!!! I’m a mum to 6 and I’m separated! No mum no sister here. Women are more than capable especially when you have gazillion dollars and you can afford a nanny or day care(I know she “loves” being a mum bla bla) she claims not to “complain” but she does. It’s click bait not that she needs it, drama drama. What about Kurt? He works hard and I bet Sarah is hard work too!!!

My kids are 22 and 19 now and I used to LOVE cuddling with them in bed. My son is 19 and will still lay with me and I try to cuddle with him, but of course it's not the same as when he was three. I know it's weird, but I cannot accept my kids are grown. I look at him now and still see a 3 year old. My daughter, on the other hand, is 22 and just graduated college and has no interest in laying in bed with me (understandably) but still, I'd do anything to go back to those baby/toddler days.
