Kurt actually recorded a commentary for the new Paramount Presents blu-ray (around 2021) - very interesting to hear their comments almost 25 years later. Great commentary. Make sure you get the Paramount Presents blu-ray if you want the Kurt Russell commentary.

I saw it for the first time on TV as a kid in '98 I think and have been rewatching it ever since and it holds up every time. It's the acting I think, Kurt and JT Walsh in particular are right at the top of their game in this movie

Super underrated! This movie is insane good. Why don’t they make a movie like this anymore? Is there something racist or sexist about it?
