My favourite JT Walsh and Kurt Russell collaboration. It’s one of the best suspense/thrillers I’ve ever seen

Did you know? These two actor both starred in Executive Decision in 1996, even though their character never interact. Also, Kathleen Quinlan and Jack Noteworthy both starred in Event Horizon

There are few movies of Kurt Russell career that I rewatch every 1-2 years, Escape from La, Used Cars, Tango & Cash, Soldier, The thing, Tombstone and BREAKDOWN. Excellent underrated 90s thriller that has a great pace

I love this exciting thrill of a movie! I even like how Billy played by Jack Noseworthy uses a fake southern accent and comes off as a nice helpful guy in finding Kurt Russells wife when he's first seen but then it turns out he's actually one of the guys in on the whole missing wife scheme and he's part of the villian crew.

With duel you need see the evil man behind the wheel. But break down shows evil and it's even more scary than the unknown mystery evil in duel. The movie is so realistic and believable. Kurt russels frustration level equals Harrison fords in polanskis frantic.

I go way back with this movie. I had such a fascination for it when I was 7 or 8. Seen it a few times in that time. I rediscovered it by the time I was 14. I rented it at the video rental a few times. My mother (God rest her soul) got me the movie on DVD from eBay. Now, I have it on the US release of it on Blu-ray. My nephew watched it with me, and he enjoyed it as much as I did and do. I got him his copy of it on Blu-ray. He considers it his most favorite Kurt Russell movie ever just the same as I do.

I love mystery thrillers like this! Fun fact is the M.C. Gainey character is the one who offscreen screwed with the ignition wires under the car at the scene in the beginning when Kurt Russell stops at the gas station for oil which then leads to the breakdown.
