Palitaw
This is a Filipino delicacy that is made with glutinous rice flour and water. When cooking you just need to get a tablespoon of the dough and flatten it. Drop the flattened dough into the boiling water and when it floats on top it means the palitaw is cook. Coat the palitaw with grated coconut and top with toasted sesame seeds-sugar mixture.
This food is perfect for snacks or desserts and this is very common in holiday seasons. In this video we will make this simple recipe more delicious. We will add flavor into the dough and we will make a fried version with special toppings.
ingredients:
1 1/2 cups water
3 cups glutinous rice flour
Ube Palitaw:
1/2 cup water
1 cup glutinous
1/2 tsp violet food color
1/2 tsp ube flavor
Buko Pandan:
1/2 cup water
1 cup glutinous rice flour
1/4 tsp green food color
1/4 tsp buko pandan flavor
Toppings:
2 tbsp toasted sesame seeds
3 tbsp white sugar
3 tbsp powdered milk(optional)
Toppings for fried palitaw:
Mango Jam
