Simple, aromatic and delicious! Very hard to get stone flower and karpok pods here in the US, but it was worth the effort. The mark of a good chef is to build a simple, balanced dish and this was a REAL delighter for my family!!!!!

As usual nice recipe by u ..if we use basmati rice,pls tell the cups of water to be used..I really get confused and also pls tell should we soak basmati rice before using and for how much time?pls reply

You have to soad the basmati rice for 30 mins before you cook. And the ratio for basmati is 1 :1 ratio for 1 cup rice use 1cup or 1 and 1/4 cup water. I hope this is clear

I followed the same recipe, and It was too spicy.. not at all suitable for someone who is not used to it. Please mention in the video clearly that it is for a extremely spice lover. Ideally biriyanis are best had with a mellow spice level so that chillies do not overpower the flavourful spices. Also ratio of rice to water was inadequate. 2:1 left the rice a bit uncooked. 2.5:1 would be better Please note this is a constructive feedback. please be careful with the quantity of chilies what you suggest
