I've just been checking out the fun colour choices, so many options! Id definitely make a black one for my 26 yo son, one for his GF and one for each of my BF two young adult kids. I have some chunky yarn in 3 colours but only 100g, may do a combo colour one to practice with for my own. Ribbing in one colour, stockinette in the other! Also, I know how to cast on long tail in knit only, pearl is a new addition.... looks trick but will give it a go! Cheers for the tutorial. Love the music you choose btw, so calming, makes me want to sit in a sun filled window sipping cocoa while I knit :)

I'm not really a pink person so i choose the white one. However, I was looking at the Wool & the Gang colors and just ordered the color "love heart pink" which is a pale pink with speckles - looks so cute ❤ Kris K from Connecticut

Thanks, nice easy pattern. I didn't switch to a thinner yarn when I gathered the top. I threaded the tapestry needle with the working yarn first then placed the stitches on the tapestry needle purl wise. The stitches go directly onto the yarn that way, and the needles have the stitches removed off of them as you go, no need to thread a thinner yarn on with the needles in place then take the needles out.

Hello..how do you put the stitches on the tapestry needle purlwise.. ?? I like the idea of using the working yarn instead of another ball.. 😊

I just made my second beanie. It turned out really cute. Iove this pattern. Med to LG hat, 52 stitches is 26" in diameter on the rim. I knitted 7" on the stockinette stitch since the first one I did was way too small. I took your advice on the second one and knitted it loosely and it turned out much better. My first one was way too tight. Thank you Kiki. Ii e this hat!

Hi! I only have 5mm circular needles. Around how many stitches I need for 5mm needles? I will be very thankful for your help! Thank you 😊
@Kutovakika3 жыл бұрын
Hi Victoria! Ah this is a good question 😀👍🏼 So, for a 5mm needle what you want to do it to knit a test piece of for example 20stitches to see how many stutches you knit on 10cm, so basically what your gauge will be. Then, when you know how many stitches you knit on 10cm you can calculate how many you need for this hat that has a circumference intended for a head of approx 55 cm 😀 hope this makes sense!

@Kutovakika3 жыл бұрын
Aah do you mean like a headband type? 🤔😀
@alexandrinaslavova3 жыл бұрын
@@Kutovakika no, not a headband actually :) A complete hat but on the top where you tightly tie to close the hole at the end, to leave it open somehow and when you put it on, to pull the ponytail through the whole. This way you can wear a warm hat on the whole head (not just a headband) with high ponytail :)

Kika, love your videos! I have just finished my first hat (it was wildly small unfortunately, it was all in 1x1 ribbing as well). Was curious if there is anything to take into account when going from 1x1 ribbing to stockinette in a hat like this? Do you need to add extra stitches compared to normal since you’re using two different types of stitches? Or switching betweeen stitch types doesn’t effect cast on?
