The Calidor snail is a portable oxygenator that runs on seeds instead power

What is the point of that with the QT RTG? You cannot run out of oxygen anymore. It's even easier to get a portable oxyginator and a QT RTG because that maintains itself.

@@ghuleh969 For crafting??? Astroneer doesn't have any crafting. It has printer you can hookup to your base power. Just slap two QT RTG's on your backpack and you literally never run out of power. Drills only take up a very minor amount of power.

My favorite snails pairs are as follows: Atrox and Vesania (Fast speed, no fall dmg), Calidor and Novus (Energy and Oxygen), Atrox, Desolo and Sylva (speed, rare treasures and cave/night light), Glacio and Novus (better mining and power for extra drills) and finally 13 Atrox (in creative) for INSANE speed and jumps Overall I like Glacio because I just love the planet anyways and Princess because I die too much

The Snail of vesania? princess It gives you immunity to damage received, it is completely broken if you add it to the calidor snail that gives oxygen. Personally I always take them both for the exploration of a planet etc.

For the required quests to get the strange object, do the main quest line, and once you get the medium printer (I think, if not just keep doing quests) it will give you smeltering hot. Once you do that, it will give you bait & switch, and that quest will award you with the strange object.

I feel like I'll only end up carrying Princess and Enoki if there's room to have two with all the seeds you'll need to carry. Jetpack, hoverboard, oxygenator, 3 QTs... hmmm maybe just Enoki. No wait... if you use Enoki you'd better use Princess too... splat!

Lol I have tried to use snails only (no oxygenator, no light, no qt-rtg)... It works great... Maybe just a drill because if the soil is too hard to get a seed then you can't feed them... And die 😅🐌

Here is how I think you can do it One jetpack 2 qt-rtgs (you can wait a few seconds for the built in power to charge up if you need to drill stuff) Hoverboard And then you still have 9 slots left for stuff like the snails

Replace your QTRTG's with the Novus Snail, shares a food source with the Princess, saves space in your inventory, and gives 6u of power

It’s tempting to replace my portable oxygenator and two QT-RTG’s with Stilgar and Rogal but I feel like it would be too stressful to have to worry about finding seeds before you suffocate whenever Stilgar’s buff wears off

@@KuyaGameAstroneer Finding seeds is not a difficult subject. You can always have a seed on it. Whenever they eat that seed, from any kind of plant, you can get a seed. They eat all the seeds.

I hope in the future we can upgrade the backpack. Even if its only 2 more auxilarry slots I'd be happy. Since unlocking it i always have a mini rtg and portable oxygenator on my shoulders. Sometimes i take a second rtg so i can dig without running out of energy and needing to turn oxygenator off to recharge. I only have the first three snails but they are all adorable. Hopefully in the future we can catch duplicates. I'd like to have a full set on each world. By the way is stilgar worth it to replace portable oxygenator ?

If you would like to get a free slot, then stilgar would be a good option. Feed it any seed and place a spare one on top of the terrarium. The free slot is because you don't need the qt-rtg
