The sacred spiral...every life meets death...and life springs from every death. In between, the Earth cycles through the seasons...a time to plant, a time to grow, a time to harvest and a time to rest. It is true for the Earth and true for the spirit. Einar's voice reaches deep inside, grabs ahold of the things buried in the spirit, pulls it up, holds it, acknowledges it for what it is and releases it to the wind to be transformed, to transcend, to heal and grow. This is not music to listen to...it is something to expirience.

I listened the others version of this song and I can say that this one is from far the best. The violin at first is electrifying, the guitar immediately followed by the drum is like a powerful wave who dive us in the music. And the drum here truly create a strong atmosphere and not only follow timidly the song, it enforce the rhythm. Ah ! In my own opinion that's a true succes. I love it.

This music stirs my soul in so many ways. Even though I am not quite fluent in the language, what I can understand and the overall vibe of the song seems to suggest that life is cyclical. A life for every death, a death for every life. The world - the very universe - and every cell within our body even - has a beginning and an end. Chaos and Order are constantly at odds with each side pushing and pulling, never in sync for longer than an instant.

I thank the Gods everyday that I first heard this man bellow out the stories from the sagas in that voice he has. This group has awakened a part in me that I didnt know was there. Einar seems so sincear and down to earth,he has a closer bond than most to nature, you dont ever see him with shoes on,his lyrics come to him when hes alone in nature and he hears the forest telling him things, words for another song. Wardruna literally sets my mood for the day. I could swear that Odin himselff is channeling through this man,and you know the saying, its better to be a wolf of Odin than a lamb of god. They and others like them are bringing back the old ways but in a new delivery system and so far I dont think they have been corrupted by the "Owners of almost everything". I hope they can resist and keep doing their own thing.
