R1, he didn't upback...he was zoning with air gunshots (the ground gunshot can get beat by Frank slide so it's risky to do). It was good Wesker play here. R3, dying as soon as he enters has nothing to do with how good he is with the character...regardless of what character was used, the result would have generally been the same (with some exceptions, like Sentinel).

Please name me which tournaments Japanese players have attended for Marvel since Evo. State the tournament names and which players were there for that tournament... I don't expect you to answer btw because it will make you look stupid. The only players that attended American marvel tournaments since Evo were Frieda and Kusoru. Frieda entered 2 tournaments (if you include the last Evo). Kusoru entered 1 tournament (and won it in Winners bracket lol). No one else came who plays Marvel.

Kurosu is the best Marvel player in Japan. American players are more skilled in Marvel, but we're too caught up in the S tier to have matchup knowledge against characters like Rocket Raccoon. America will win EVO in Marvel.

R4, just because he didn't land his offense after killing Frank, doesn't mean played bad. He got robbed on some of the hits because of raccoon's small hitbox (like the Wesker jS after H teleport). R5, that B&B is hard to land on Raccoon, it's the reason why he backdashed after the teleport, otherwise the gunshot would have whiffed. It's a tough situational combo. Also landing hits isn't the only thing involved in evaluation...You don't know how to evaluate play from matches.

Forget about this Zenrot, he's the typical American patriot that doesn't even think about the comments he's making...trying to make a point of the fact that Japan almost never joins American marvel tourneys and when they do, the players are almost never Marvel players. Tokido isn't even a marvel representative, the only player who would count is Frieda who went to only 2 tournaments. He placed top 32 in Final Round, getting out of pools in winners.

Going into the lab is not the same thing as doing it on the fly. Those other Weskers don't have experience in this situation, against Raccoons...in fact, it's one of the things that was constantly being brought up when Kusoru came to the US. They wouldn't even know that you need to backdash after the teleport to land the OTG gunshot, they would have probably just tried normally and have it whiff.

This is actually the worst statement ever. Japanese players show up for major's frequently for EVO points, and also compete in Marvel. Regardless as to how many people want to say its not, EVO is still considered the "world championship" in fighting games. Again, a great deal of Japan's best has said they will attend EVO. When they don't win we can have this discussion again.

Are you sure you're replying to the right video? Round 1, he holds up back until Frank West owns him. Round 2, he doesn't make an appearance. Round 3, dies as soon as he enters. Round 4, gets an XFC free kill on Frank, then lands NO offense and dies. Round 5, screws up a B&B combo on Rocket, lands 2 gun shots and a CR M, CR H. There is no "solid" Wesker play here. Why are you being contrary for no reason?

Phoenix and Morridoom I agree that wesker is more fun to watch. Joe and Raccoon are not high tier therefore people enjoy watching joe and raccoon take down high tier characters. Plus people don't use Raccoon and Joe all that often. All I see these days are Morridoom, Vergil, Wesker, and Phoenix which are boring matches. of course wesker is a good character but with x factor it's so easy to do comebacks with him thus taking away any climactic ending=boring.

1) Kusoru is not the best marvel player in Japan 2) America isn't more skilled in marvel - there isn't anything special about this game that makes it America's game, and the top players in Japan playing marvel are top level SBO-caliber players of other games like Guilty Gear, Blazblue, etc 3) America outnumbers Japan at Evo by a ratio of like 200:1, I would be surprised if US didn't win Marvel just from that fact alone

This is a completely retarded statement...how many Japanese players bother to show up to America for marvel? Your statement is about as stupid as asking how many American players have won Marvel in Japanese soil. Using Mago, RF and Tokido's results in American marvel tourneys (the 1-2 that they ever joined) and using those players to represent Japan is as silly as using Fubarduck and Haunt's results at KVO to represent all of America. And FYI, they did terrible there.
