Note that for the folks that are thinking about tiers, team composition is more important than individual characters. Iron fist may "suck" as a standalone character, he shines on point because Justin tailored the team with 2 assists. His main strength is his absurd amount of damage and with Akuma, he can punish unsafe landings. Because he is starting IF, should he die, he is STILL going to town because JWong is STILL powerful with Storm and Akuma.

Fchamp swapped out to Dr Strange in hopes that eye of Agamotto could be used to punish Akuma assist as well as Iron Fist rushdown attempt. Didn't work because he didn't know the matchup enough, but it was a smart counterpick given FChamp knew how to play Dr. Strange. Problem is Dr. Strange wins against no one with his normals given his startup time and versus Iron Fist Akuma it was a terrible scenario. Had he gotten Iron Fist before Strange was in it may have worked out for him. Great set.

Iron Fist is low tier, but that doesn't make him garbage. He does high damage, and his assists are all great. Anyways, Champ started to go for Iron Fist after the first couple of matches, because he realized he was the problem.

Its because he knows Justin Wong is a solid player. There's no shame in losing to the Wong. You'll notice this whenever he plays against people that he definitely knows have great amounts of skill like Combo and Yipes. When he lost against DiosX, he was beating himself up because he was like "that shitty player did that to ME?".

@leopizza23 I spend about an hour in Training Mode just drilling out combos before going online. MvC3 basically boils down to burning your combos into muscle memory, so when you tag your opponent, you can turn one hit into a kill string.

Characters are rankable :P however, ranking doesn't matter at lower levels of gaming, tiers don't have a large affect until it gets to tournament level. Wins and losses are attributed to only skill under tourney level. To find tiers of characters, they are ranked by their ease of access, damage levels, performance solo and synergy in a team. Why is doctor doom so common and high tier to most people? He has the most useful assists and has access to simple xfactorless 1000000+ combos

In theory Iron Fist is a great character, but he doesn't really have an answer for characters that spend a lot of time in the air. Shitty launcher and he can be zoned out pretty easily. That's why he's considered by many to be low tier.

@SnakeStormTV In ultimate, unfortunately, FC just gets wrecked when using Phoenix. She's more or less garbage tier now, because meter is so much harder to build, and you can't just stay in the air with her and throw fireballs to at least try and keep safe. Funny part is that Wesker fills the same role as Phoenix did in vanilla, but does better everywhere (and I mean everywhere) else.
