@avi8r944 fair enought there was a time when AUD was higher than CAD. To be fair at least new cbr is available there. The one sold in NA is the 2014 with updated livery. Still though not cool you have to pay so much in Australia.

@nazzalgrylls1403 fair enought. I've always been a kawasaki guy. As for the 4rr it's so fun riding it and being able to hammer through the gears and not going too fast. It literally sounds like a 1000cc bike which makes it even more hilarious when you look at the speed it's going in comparison to the sound. Definitely look into getting one or even a 6r. And here in the US, the prices are closer... The R9 will be I think $12,499 and the Kawi will be $12,399 for a base model with ABS. So for the money, the Yamaha offers a LOT more.

Lul. No way the R9 is that cheap, especially with the inevitable dealer markup. 🤣
@SquireSCAКүн бұрын
@@thomasolson8417 Yamaha USA has the prices on their website. If you are paying big markups, then you need to find a better dealer. I don't pay a single dollar over MSRP, and usually get them to come down... if not on the price, then on the dealer fees.. I just traded in my Ducati Streetfighter V2 last weekend on a new ZX10R. I paid MSRP for the bike, but I got $15,800 on the trade, which was $2k over KBB trade in value... So I paid under retail on the new bike, but they gave me the "discount" on the trade side, because then I also save hundreds on sales tax.

I love my ZX6R, never been a fan of the Yamaha bikes, but comparing a 890CC motor to a 636CC motor doesn't really seem like a good comparison. Sad how much they've choked the 636 down though. They should have put out two models one for the Euro market and the other for everywhere else. Maybe a ZX6R and an RR version, mine is a 21 and they started to choking them after 2022. The electronics on the new ones are nice, but I'll keep mine.

I have a 2016 FJ-09 and a 2024 ZX6R. Both bikes are unrestricted. I prefer the ZX6R for handling and flat out acceleration. The FJ-09 triple is a powerful engine with torque. I once had a Yamaha 850 triple shaft drive. The engine caught my attention with its power and torque. Finally Yamaha has joined the triple with a race worthy frame and suspension, brakes, and all the bells and whistles. With the R9. We shall see but me likes my little ZX6R screamer.

My buddy has a first gen V-Max bored out to 1500 ccs, and he has an MT10. I've ridden both, not a fan of either, I mean the MT10 is fine if you want to stay on the back tire all day long, hated it in the curves, constantly having to baby it on the exit of the turn cause it consistently kept pulling the front end up. So I had to be much more mindful of the throttle, whereas on my ZX6R, when I was coming out of the apex, I could lay into the bike and it consistently performed great. But, they did mention brakes in the video, and I upgraded to 330 mm Galfer rotors and EBC ceramic pads, Speigler braided stainless brake lines, made all the difference in the world.
@JohnMumford-o1p15 күн бұрын
Idk why. But both companies are jacking the prices way up high in Australia. Those are both crazy prices. The going price here in the US is $12,499. So if somebody could look into that as to why Australia is getting jacked, you might want to check it out.

Also, the R9 is not an SS. "Super Sport" is not a style of Motorcycle, It's a Racing Class. The largest Engine Permitted in the Super Sport Class is the 750cc Parallel Twin. How do You compare 2 Bikes when one has an Engine that is 300cc's larger than the other?? That's a whole entire Motorcycle of Displacement.

The Kawi is awesome, I have owned 3 of them over the years... but the Yamaha beats it in most of the ways that are important for street and occasional track riders... My experience with inline-3's from Triumph was a disappointment and they always looked way better on paper. I cant escape my addiction for a 1000cc Inline-4 brutal adrenaline rush. Id like to see the GSXR750 get updated and brought up to spec with modern tech. Thats a bike worth comparing to the R9. B.T.W i think it looks terrible. Looks half finished and they forgot about the exhaust. But its gonna sell i guarantee it.

The R9 has definitely got everything to make it a awesome street/track bike to own. For me worth the extra $
@davidlagno77175 күн бұрын
Its all on paper. I personally prefer the power delivery to peak up in the high rpm range with that surge of power above 6k rpm climbing to redline. Euro 5 has taken alot of fun out of the game with smaller displacement Inline-4's making them feel gutless down low without a full exhaust and ecu flash. Twins and triples just can not deliver the same kind of adrenaline rush that is like I.V. right into the vein. And ive searched for it from Triumph models with higher tq and hp on paper. Its just not the same.

@davidlagno7717 I feel sorry for this generation. How are they supposed to learn threshold breaking and throttle control to manage wheelies and wheel spin when their bike's computers are doing it for them. I learned on my brother's modded (HRC 4 into one exhaust, racing clutch, head work, maybe cams) CB 750 with no aids, bought my own 84 Honda 750 Interceptor (a kinder gentler bike), and now ride 750 Gixxer. I don't need any shtinking rider aids.

@@GhostRider020turn it off? You can literally turn off KTRC with a few button pushes. For the abs you cannot just go through settings, but that doesn’t mean you can’t pull the fuse. Me persoanlly, I haven’t owned a bike with all these rider aides until the zx4rr came out (which I made my current track bike), but it’s not hard to turn this stuff off. I personally am not a fan of abs because my last track bike had abs and it intervened way too early so I completely removed it from the bike. That said, not all abs is created equal. There are some bikes out there with abs set ups that you would have a hard time engaging, if you put it in the correct mode. I have yet to pull the fuse out of the bikes abs, but I’ve NEVER activated it on track yet. I do agree with people not learning certain things due to rider aides though. I’m an instructor and see this a lot on the range when it’s wet., abs just doing all the work for them.
