Truly speaking, those tax structure is the same here in the US and much worse in the UK. We pay tax on every food we buy and eat, and the tax is 3 levels for groceries, we pay taxes for fuel, taxes are paid yearly on land, houses, cars, everything. All these taxes are paid despite paying income tax…..so think about it. What’s worse is the more you earn, the higher (brackets) you pay in taxes
@deryarnold54563 ай бұрын
But u are paid more
@Enkaybe3 ай бұрын
But the pay makes sense! I remember at first most jobs in the US paid like $16 an hour around 2021 but now it keeps increasing and increasing to $20/ hr. I remember applying for a job that had $13/hr like a few years (3 or so years), now they pay $22/hr! In Ghana the pay is still the same or even lower yet still things keep increasing and increasing and it’s not like they’re using the taxes to improve living conditions, they’re spending it all on themselves
@princeboateng43953 ай бұрын
@@Enkaybe no sir. Every state is different. Some states make less than that. Imagine, getting paid $16/hr. For 40hr work week. Your rent is MINIMUM $1600/month your food goes $500-$800/month, car bill $800/month, gas/fuel about $150-$200/month, insurance $120-$170/month….sewer, electric, water, gas, phone bill, internet, tv and cable, health insurance, subscriptions, and the list goes on and on. And mind you, you will pay taxes on all these services and how much you’re paying for them despite having been taxed income tax for the state and federal, for Medicaid, and so on. Calculate how much you have left? On a $15 or $20 an hour pay in month? Y’all think it’s big money till you do the math. This is why we even need bigger demonstrations than yours. The good thing is you see where your taxes go to. Other than that, y’all taxes are wayyy better
