Seeing a place from the air , makes a massive difference . Would love to be able to do what you do , but this scared duck will stay on the ground . Safe flying Sir and I look forward to other flights you do . New Subscriber ..

@@BlackStump172 they changed it about 20, maybe 25 years ago from memory. We were living in the top end, had a handing back and renaming ceremony. There's dozens of places that, without so much as a by your leave have been renamed. Interesting though that if two tribes, sorry 'nations' were 150 mile apart, and met, they couldn't understand each other. (According to old real bush blacks we used to know from central Australia) but now an aboriginal word spoken in Albany is immediately understood by a mob in Cape York. It's all a con.

All the “woke” people? Seriously? Really, you twats do need to grow the hell up! Inskip point and rainbow beach in particular, have long been known to have ‘shifting sands’, and the fwits in 4x4’s trying to be heroes driving around the point at rainbow from the noosa side, in particular, were a ‘local’ joke, even thirty years ago! Had friends who lived at rainbow years ago, who actually used to take odds on bets on how many tourist fwits would do an ‘insurance job’ on their 4x4’s each year, and the pub at rainbow, even back then, was full of photo’s of idiots who’d destroyed their latest toy trying to be hero’s. Wouldn’t recommend putting a tinny or any other small boat in, at barge time either! Chances are, the wash from the barge will land you in places likely to break your face. Speaking from experience, and thanks to the ex hubby, still have the scar and broken nose as testament to that fact!

Before Fraser Island was called Fraser Island the mob there called it K’gari …. Those people are still the custodians of this island and they sing to their totem the dolphins, they care for the simply awesome lake McKenzie and they transmit their knowledge to those coming after them. Restoring this name is a mark of respect to those who do this work throughout their lives from their ancestors to their descendants for everything in natural lore. The white fellas who were shipwrecked there are not the defining peoples of this place and it doe not reflect the energy of this very sacred crystal whale island!
