G Rap stylistically was a blend of what Rakim did best and what Kane did best. He didn't have the double entendres and inner and outts bar Rhymes to the extent Rakim did and he didn't have in the beginning the rapid fire pace that Kane was known for. Of the 3 he definitely had the greatest progression in his presentation to the point that by the 1990s he was the best rapper of the 3.

Rakim brought Kool g rap out and was the Man but he brought the Man who became the Man!! Nobody has anything on Kool G ! Biggie was close, so was Big L and Jay and AZ came near but Kools plateau is beyond humanity

Kool G Rap had brain surgery. That delayed his album release. He wasn't ready to go into the studio until 1989

Kool G Rap’s name messed him up. If he would’ve went with G Rap instead of Kool G Rap he would’ve sold a lot more songs & made more records/albums.
