Nonsense. I was never a fan of Liz Truss, but the proposals she and Kwarteng had to achieve growth, as in fact time has demonstrated were correct. They were naive in the way they tried to implement them. They did not anticipate the Bank of England and a politicized Civil Service would not support them as they should have. Put the blame where it belongs. With the Political Establishment, the Bank of England and a Civil Service rotten to the core.

The Tories had already used 18 years to divide Britain. What did Labour do during 13 years to repair and make sure the Tories never had the last 14 and what are Labour doing to make sure they never get another opportunity? Labour could stop this, but they won't, why?

Usually love this part of the show. All week I've hated it. But this was legendary! Kwarteng finally faced the rage we are all feeling having a watch him. Thanks Nels! Now please stop featuring Kwarteng in this role on the show. This role should be for well respected people who are great at their jobs, preferably political journalists. Politicians (especially bad ones!) make this part of the show too serious, it was better when it was relaxed like a podcast or pre work meeting

Nels and the presenters missed a huge trick here, which was to point out the colossal levels of entitlement and arrogance needed to say you aren't embarrassed to have messed up so publicly and catastrophically. Can you imagine any normal working person doing similar in their own job, and not just being embarrassed and ashamed, but losing the opportunity to ever comment on it or work in that area again, without at least a huge amount of making up? But posh Tories like Kamikwase and Dave Cameron stroll away from the flaming pile of excrement they leave, shrugging about having 'done their best', fully insulated from any tangible consequences.

@eightiesmusic1984
@eightiesmusic1984 21 күн бұрын
@@dedetreek8893 I cannot believe this is a main headline today when it will only be accessible for the rich at £20,000 a year, it only works for 2% of those with the disease who are diagnosed in the early stage, it does not work for some types of the disease, and only delays onset by six months. The deaths during the trial reported are concerning too, to say the least. Hilary Jones explained it clearly when asked but the reporting today across the media has been totally misleading, creating false hope for so many who will not be aware of the caveats which mean at least 99% of the population would not benefit.

The reason he won't commit to saying he's embarrassed is because judging by some of the comments, the brain capacity of the div next to him is that its much more complicated as to why what happened, happened. The reality is he tried to do what a Conservative chancellor would do and lower taxation to give more money in people's pockets to encourage growth. That money would either be respent into the economy or people can look to start businesses of their own, especially considering their is no industry in uk at this point so there are no well paid industry jobs to go to because of net o which are all in China, Pakistan where they care more about poor people being abke to eat and avoid poverty. The truth he he was bold and tried to change the apathy if the status quo and the markets reacted with a political coup in response deliberatly to oust anyone who dare make a real attempt at real growth a d decreasing the size of the state. Many of these big businesses are in bed together and are driven by the privileged few in exclusive potions which want to keep drip feeding the masses so they can maintain their position. He certainly couldn't if explained the nuance to the idiot sitting next to him consistently making derogatory remarks with no class and the irony that he has no real knowledge just says something basic and knows most if the sheep will clap him on. So who think they know so much like him usually no well u can make the rest up lol
