You start by cooking up rice, pasta or potatoes. Then put them in the refrigerator overnight, so they cool down. Take them out the next day, and those carb-rich foods are now resistant starches. When you eat them, your blood sugar won't spike, you'll feel full quicker, and your body won't absorb as many calories.

So what happen if a person has acid reflux? What’s the alternative to vinegar
@harjuna7022
@harjuna7022 Жыл бұрын
@@Angielam81 I used to have acid reflux too. Then my granny gave me this traditional recipe: drink one third slice of lemon with a glass of water every morning right after I wake up. I thought the lemon acid would worsen and irritate my esophagus. But surprisingly, I have no more acid reflux. Maybe this could be of help.

Focused on steady supply of glucose, not spikes/rollercoaster 1. savory breakfast focused more on protein. No sugar bf . 2. One tablespoon of vinegar (any type of vinegar: ACV or the juice of three lemons) in a big glass of water before one of the meals. This helps to reduce the glucose spike. 3. Once a day, a plate of vegetables at the beginning of a meal. 4. Move around for 10 mins after one of the meals.

This is a beautiful video I counted 3 hacks then 4 1) savory (protein breakfast) 2) 1 T of vinegar in a big glass of water before a meal 3) Veggies before a meal (vinegar+ veggies together) 4) exercise after a starchy meal ( a walk, a dance, or calf raises) Acetic acid / Fiber first, protein and fats second, starch third, simple sugar last Order of operations is so important

Nutrion tips Week one: 1.) Savory Breakfast When we eat sweet, dopamine is released (pleasure molecule) and don’t obtain energy. The melachondria (molecules that make energy) are tired. Stressed out. Don’t make energy as effective. Savory breakfast spike energy. With savory breakfast concentration and mood levels are stable. Week two: 2.) One table spoon of vinegar and a big glass of water before one of our meals a day. OR 3 lemons to get the same power of 1 tbs of vinegar (it’s less proficient tho) Acidic acid slows down how quickly food breaks down to glucose molecules. While doing this you reduce the glucose spike, Loosing the impact of your meal on your health. Week three: 3.) Once a day, before one of our meals, have a of plate of vegetables at the beginning of the meal. Vegetables have fiber which deploys into the walls of our upper intestine creating a protective “fiber mesh” that slows and reduce the amount of glucose molecules from our food to the bloodstream. Week four: 4.) after one meal a day, move for 10 minutes. (Walking around the block, cleaning, dancing, calf raises) contract the muscles!! Muscle cells use glucose for energy. By contracting the muscles for ten mins, they soak up glucose from the meal we’ve just had. When we get off the glucose rollercoaster… Cravings go away. Energy improves. Less hungry. Inflammation goes down. Skin problems go away. Sleep better. Hormonal issues disappear. Helps our brain funcion better. ⭐️ TIP!! You could mix hack 2 & 3, you could add a vinegar dressing to the vegetables.

I don’t think fruits, especially in the morning, are what she meant. Didn’t heard her talking about it. And fruits is great glucose,full of vitamines and never saw anybody having a pick of glucose with fruits… Fruits and veggies are the best and the faster food who gets digested. @@ORIGJINnope, that includes fruits. Have them at the end of a meal - turns out them digesting the fasted doesn't cause a digestive issue if eaten last. It may not have been explained well in the video so it wasn't really clear, but it's all in her book and supported research 😊.

I am from Manila (Philippines ) and our traditional SAVORY Filipino breakfast meal included vinegar and a hint of soy sauce with garlic or chilies as a side sauce to flavor our dried - stir fried fish or sweet meats (chicken, pork or beef) accompanied with garlic fried rice. We serve this with our Spanish hot chocolate or coffee. So it’s encouraging to learn this hack, we’ve been on this traditional breakfast meal for ages! 😊Thank you once again! Oh I missed mentioning- I’ve been doing the savory and vinegar drink hacks ( 1 tbsp of Braggs vinegar with cold water before meals) and it works like magic. It was my mom who introduced this to me a few years back. Was a skeptic at first but listening to our Gucose Goddess here made me want to continue on. I also try my best to eat all the veggies first (cooked or raw salads ) and limit my carbs to 3 tbsp of rice or a slice of bread midway AFTER the proteins which helped my digestion and allowed me to maintain my 143 lbs at 5’8”, and at 61 now - never been healthier, slimmer and toned. 😊 Last one, incorporating some fermented food (sauerkraut, kimchi ) with our main dish helps to make us feel more satisfied. Filipinos love “atsara” local pickled unripe papayas eaten as a side dish ) and I mix mine with sauerkraut to balance the sweetness. Great advice! Thank you!❤😊

This podcast is eye opening for me. I have this yo yo diet and i cant really stop gaining weight. And i will follow this deligently. No sweet breakfast veggies first then protein and starch and sweet last. Move your feet ten minutes after meal, walk or just move around the house ACV on a glass of water before meal. Thank you very much to both of you.

The ONLY way you'll drop weight is to eat in a calorie deficit. It has little to do with how many blood sugar spikes you have, unless you are diabetic. If a sweet breakfast satiates you for a decent amount of time then there's no reason to not eat it.

The reason to try to avoid glucose spikes is to put your energy on an even keel...no sugar crashes! I can do this!! Who doesn't want to feel better and still indulge in sweets?
@simongarner5340

@@psycheread3258 One of Jessie's reasons is to have constant energy but it's entirely down the individual. I can eat sugar mid afternoon on an empty stomach and not crash. Her main arguement is that the more blood sugar spikes we have the quicker we age and die and this is not backed by science; this is fear-mongering.

❤thank ypu. We in India have been following all these since centuries. We start with lemon juice or amla juice in warm water or kokum. Breakfast is a fruit. Followed by paratha with vegetables or any savory dish idli dosa with protein, carbs and veggies. We end the meal with a probacterial drink like chaas or kokum. We ate pure ghee. No refined oils or sugar. We copied west and now we have same diseases like west. But we have rich Ayurvedic wisdom that is reversing the diseases nationwide.

@@Sam-zg3fg fruit should be consumed first. It is fastest to digest. If you eat it last, it mixes with proteins and fats which take longer to move out of stomach. Mixing fruit will lead to purification of proteins and fats which leads to gas and acidity. Hence eat fruits first. After 1 or 2 hour gap start eating raw veggies and then rest of the meal.

I've just come off a 14 day water fast. Sugar, BP & kidney issues. By the end of the fast my sugar went from 16 to 6, BP from high 160/110 to normal. Kidneys to be checked, protein leak. After a week starting to eat normally. Had beautiful uyghur noodles years. Night glucose was 16 at night rather than 10 which it had been after eating. I have been drawn to eat a sour brekkie... olives, cucumber, tomato, mustard grains

Moving after food causes digestive issues. The best one that works for me is to eat carbs in evening where our sugar fluctuates less. Starting with vegetables or protein also works but you have to wait to out before eating carbs for 15 minutes.

This is really interesting because it's everything grandparents, at least in my country, usually advice. I grew up with my parents and grandparents saying I need to eat my veggies first before anything else, they told me that walking after a meal was really healthy, they taught me to drink a glass of water with apple cider vinegar after waking up and we always eat savory for breakfast, never sweet. There's a reason why all this advice is passed down the generations. I'm glad I know now the why behind it 😊❤

Quoting from Armageddon - You Man, Harry!! Thank you for sharing. From 101 KGS to 72 KGS in barely 130 days, on OMAD, each meal was like a king's treat 👍🏻 1. A 45-50 minute brisk walk prior to ending the day, covering 6 kilometers, slightly shy of 4 miles. 2. An Orange - most days - the some days Red / Green apple, just after the walk. 3. 1% of body weight, give or take, a BIG SALAD consisting of Bell Peppers, Cabbage - green & red, Jalapeno, Olives, Onion, Tomato, Turnips...... seasoned with salt and ACV or Date Vinegar or Red Grape vinegar or commercial white vinegar. 4. 200 grams of - Cooked lentils / Feta cheese / Chicken breast / Tuna .... Or 6 tablespoons of freshly extracted Peanut Butter - Chunky. That's bout 25-40 grams of protein. 5. Wash it all down with a 400 ml glass of Oolong tea with one slice of lemon AND Lime. Wait 23 hours......repeat. 6. Most important - NO CALORIES Counting 😂 This food - for me - was medicine. Supplements - Omega-3, vitamin E, vitamin K2, Vitamin B Complex daily and one 60K iU Vitamin D3 once in 3 weeks. My body compelled me to learn about and adopt HIIT Routine 😊 Be well, eat healthy, stay blessed 🙏🏻

It took me hundreds of hours of learning to come to the same conclusion. It's all about sugar management. And I'm 100% behind the idea of eating fiber first - it's life-changing. I used to drink cider vinegar after meals, now I'm going to try putting some in my soup. I'm curious to see the effects. Thanks for this great video!

Simple food hacks by eating in the right order. Basically you want to have a salad with vinaigrette based salad dressing (adding apple cider or balsamic vinegar) before eating carbs. Then do light exercise for 10 minutes to slow down the amount of glucose absorption as your muscles will require some glucose. Not to mention, walking and light movement can also help digestion.
