The plate is really imbedded on my inside door knob, but the bigger problem is that the spindle won't go in far enough to lock the door knob onto that plate once I get it out and tighten those 2 screws on it.

Excellent video! Had tinkered with this doorknob for months with it embaringly falling off at times. Just seemed to good to replace. One small screw out and the other loose. Never knew to detach the plate, just constantly trying to tighten it with knob attached. Followed you step by step and it's just like new!!! Thank You Soooo Much!!! Very informative and easy step by step instructions. Thank You!!!
