I can't thank you enough! This was my exact problem and I couldn't find a solution prior to your video. I disassembled the entire mechanism, used a lock dry lube, and still had the problem. Your video showed the solution. Again, my sincere thanks!!!!

Your video helped me. It's a different process for my lock, you hold the program button and then tap it, instead of holding the lock button, but once I got it to align itself, it's smoother than ever. Thank you!

This is counter intuitive and it works. I wasted a bunch of time trying to find a mechanical fix. This worked with my touch screen like keypad. You I figured that the weird click/jam you get when you move it manually would be fixed by different means but this worked for me. Also, check your batteries.

My battery pack is all part of one unit and when I tried your fix and the deadbolt goes in after hitting the kwikset but does not come out after entering my code. My unit is the Kwikset Powerbolt 250

Lmao… this is in the owners manual.. already tried this and several other things.. so I’ll continue to do what she said I wouldn’t do, and keep watching more videos.. in the mean time the company is sending me a brand new upgraded model for free.
