Hi there! do you do Ujjaji pranayama for breathing? Also, how do you concentrate on chakras, I mean you start from anterior of Muladhara and then move to the spine, therefore concentrationing on the posterior ksetrams of the chakras?
@manojtheyogi Жыл бұрын
Yes, ujjayi breathing. No, visualize a stream of energy flowing up the center of the spine.

How do you access ajna chakra? Is it at the level of bindu visagra(the point at the head where hair curls)? I really have hard time finding it

It's very simple. Just point your eyes toward the eyebrow center.

Very useful thanks. I've seen in JC Steven's book, but it is helpful to see somebody actually do it since it seems counterintuitive to bend over with the lungs still full and not exhaling.

I have to keep the bandhas 'til the end of the expiration?
@manojtheyogi2 ай бұрын
The bandhas are generally applied after inhalation with the breath held in. They are generally released during exhalation and inhalation, but if desired, shambhavi and mula bandha can be held throughout.

Halo to you How hard is the heel should press the perineum? Im affraid hurting the body. Thanks for your answer You help everytime!🙏 (:
@manojtheyogi Жыл бұрын
The pressure should be comfortable and never painful.
@jay-covmusic6307 Жыл бұрын
@@manojtheyogi Thanks I was wondering maybe light pressure will not make the apana go upward... But its seem logical. No need to hurt the body
@manojtheyogi Жыл бұрын
@@jay-covmusic6307 Mula Bandha is most important for that, and the slight heel pressure helps to focus on it.

@@manojtheyogi Ye, but instead of doing only mula bandha, its better to combine it in the mahamudra. And mahamudra should come whit mahabandha and mahadeva, as the yoga pradipika say(and also shiva samhita i think). So doing this 3 mudra will get the best rsult i think. And after this 3 im doing sirshasana
@manojtheyogi Жыл бұрын
@@jay-covmusic6307 Correct, but mula bandha can be done all day long, while mahamudra cannot.

Hello Mr.Manoj, thanks for all the informative and detailed how to do videos of different Kriya techniques. Which technique would you suggest a beginner for Kriya? I have started on JCs Kriya secrets revealed path very recently, thats how I found your posts looking for video descriptions. Please advice.
@manojtheyogi5 жыл бұрын
This is really a personal decision. If you feel drawn to the original kriya yoga that JC presents, then it is fine to continue with that for a few months and see how it goes. However, my recommendation is to start with Swami Satyananda's books as I describe in my Kriya Yoga Course 1, 2 and 3 videos. These provide a more well rounded introduction to yoga in general then kriya yoga specifically. JC's book then comes after for the most specialized techniques.
@kiefer929 ай бұрын
Is this another form of maha mudra that you showed in an earlier video? The one where you following the chakras with the head, going up the spine?
@manojtheyogi9 ай бұрын
Yes, my previous courses follow Swami Satyananda's kriya yoga, while this course 4 follows Lahiri Mahasaya's kriya yoga.

It seems very hard to apply uddiyana bandha with full lungs some advice about it? Thank you!
@manojtheyogi5 жыл бұрын
I think of uddiyana bandha as two separate bandhas: manipura bandha (pulling the navel to the spine) and anahata bandha (pulling the diaphragm up under the ribs against the lungs/heart). With full lungs the only thing possible is a small amount of manipura bandha, which I mention in the video. However, you may also choose to inhale to about 75% lung capacity then a reasonable manipura bandha is possible.
