@6:55,, if we heard correctly the fella I've been asking about,, is his name Brandon? If memory serves correctly that guy has been with Kye since the first time we saw Kye Kelly become a part of the Discovery Channel's Street Outlaws and he seems to be the guy who has been with Kye for a very long time. He's always there packing chutes and setting Kye at the starting line. We've seen him doing a multitude of other tasks on the KKR race car and we'd surely like to learn more about him.

We know Kye as good as they come when racing MSO style racing BUT,, being an armchair racer (I was a Super Gas/Pro Gas racer wayyy back in the mid 80's),, I would NEVER be a part of their style racing. We love our buddy JJ and the entire MSO team,, they're as real as real gets and they're as humble as they come BUT that 'arm drop - chase is a race' is nothing but hustle style racing. If a pilot isn't used to it YOUWILL GET YER A$$ WHUPP'D by any of 'em. They know how to do that style racing. For my 2 cents ya need a flashlight start or a tree - which of course will not be out there on the street. Limpy's head strap light is the best out there. There's no anticipating when he'll flip that switch so the starts are as fair as it gets.

@11:00 as we watch Lizzy help Kye get strapped in we all too often forge that EVERY TIME he chinches up those seat belts and prepares himself for another trip down the asphalt,, he doesn't know if his hotrod will give him a SAFE trip or his hotrod will kill him. These blistering cars can kill their pilots just easily as they can give them a ride they'll never forget the remainder of their days on Mother Earth. At the speeds these cars are going now days it takes only one small part failing that can send them into the wall or upside down, flipping, rolling any number of catastrophic event that can end their career. We've seen it so many times through no fault of their own a pilot is in trouble in the blink of an eye. The cars are built to incredible standards of SAFETY,, but sometimes that just wasn't enough. Anyway, just think about this for a second, when we see our favorite guy or gal slide behind the wheel of these incredibly powerful machines, they try to not think about it BUT it might be their last pass. Respect their monstrous courage,, they deserve all the respect we can give..

They purge to drop the bottle pressure down to a very specific amount which does vary based on what they think the track will hold. The bottles are Overheated in the pits just before the round and then purged down, it is often one of the last decisions before taking the tree to slightly raise or lower the "Tune-up" that is already in place. Sorry for such a rambling answer. Hopefully it was at least semi understandable.... Lol
