Oh my gosh, I love drag racing! I was a teenager in the 70's. Racing is what we did. Nothing to compare to the cars in this video. We were mostly driving muscle cars from the 60's to early 70's. I liked the big cars. My favorite was a 69 Cadillac Sedan DeVille, stock except for dual exhaust with quietish mufflers. My friends made fun of my Caddy until race day. I beat almost every car they had, good cars too. I figured out early on that while they were still roasting the tires off at the starting line, I was already halfway through the quarter mile. They'd be so mad. I'd be all smiles. That Cadillac was no slouch with a factory 375 horse 472 cid engine. My second favorite was my 67 Chrysler New Yorker with a 440 engine, unfortunately it spun a rod bearing and that was the end of it. I went through several cars, wish I had ever one of them back today. They'd be worth a fortune. Back then they were just eight to ten year old used cars when we got them. 😊
