Always blame the girls and women. That’s so ingrained in so many religions and cults. Even the ‘defrauding’ males if a woman or older girl flashes a shin, if males can’t control themselves it’s on them & their parents because they did a cr** job. What a weird word to use, probably chooses by the marriage, paren and education expert gothard (no capital letter because he s abused girls, so zero respect) he was unmarried, no children and doubt not a clue about education. Have you seen videos about his creepy book that parents are meant to teach their kids pre wedding…it’s disturbing!!! Clearly written by someone who watches and looks at ‘that’ kind of thing. It’s clearly his fantasy, it talks about weird things that a normal person would know were silly, creepy and downright weird! Take instant noodles and snacks was one weird thing. I won’t write the really nasty stuff for the wedding night and honeymoon! 🤢

My oldest brother molested me when I was 8/9 and he was 15/16. I came out with this and my entire family blamed me, began heavily scapegoating me and now I have taken my daughter's halfway across the country away from them. And still to this day they act like he is a great person and I am deluded. It's disgusting how people treat the perpetrators in the family setting. The victims are either blamed or in someway silenced. My dad went as far to call me a whore and that it was my fault. At the age of 8. I'm so glad there's one less creep out there now. Not defending these people but I think the use of the word it was because she wasn't speaking of an individual specific child. I think she was speaking of any of the children who were already here and/or any future child. Given that she wasn't speaking of a specific child she already had and wouldn't know the gender of future children, I don't think the use of the word it is odd. Idk much a out these folks and don't know where they're from but in many places in the South, babies and young children are often called it, as a term of endearment. It's totally innocent and in no way offensive. To hear something like "Bless it! It's the cutest thing I've ever seen! I love it to pieces!" Very common here and no harm is meant by it and I've never known a child who was somehow damaged by that.

For anyone curious on how he dodged the program (I think this shows exactly how premeditated it was), he basically had two operating systems running on the same hard drive, one windows and one Linux, and used the Linux os for cp. this negated the program his wife installed as it was only on the “side” of the hard drive with windows. The average person would likely have to do some reasearch to do this and likely wouldn’t have come up with this idea. Most ppl just don’t have that level of tech literacy. Someone likely gave him the idea. I have a very strong feeling some sort of forum posts are gonna be leaked eventually.

Probably. As someone who has used dual-boot machines in the past and run multiple partitions, there's nothing inherently shady about it. We do it for many (good) reasons. But the red flag here is that Josh never told his wife about it. He actively consented to having his Internet activity monitored on Windows, so why would it be an issue on another operating system? It just doesn't pass the smell test. You're right, this is pretty much rock solid evidence that he deliberately set out to hide his activity.

Several things you got wrong there. Josh did not initially confess. It was Jill who reported his activity with her, and she was ignored. Then once Jill witness Josh abusing Joy, the parents decided to not completely ignore it. Josh was also assaulting girls in their church. None of these victims have come forward, but witnesses say that it was a whole thing within the church family as well as the Duggar family. The story that Josh is the one who initially confessed is a lie made up by Jim Bob to protect him and cover up his depravity.

The thing is, even people who are raped and passed out the whole time still experience trauma when they find out it happened. Think of Brock Turner, and read Chanel Miller’s victim impact statement addressed to him. What she explained is trauma, even though she remembers nothing of the attack she endured from him. The Duggar girls are trying to convince us that because they were not conscious when they were sexually assaulted, that it didn’t have an impact on them-but that is COMPLETELY false. That is the narrative their parents have taught them to tell others, but they surely got traumatized once they learned what happened to them while they slept. Especially when it’s from someone they deeply love and trust…even if they don’t remember it happening, KNOWING it happened from someone they love and trusted is extremely traumatic. The girls are minimizing their abuse because their parents have minimized their abuse. So incredibly sad.

Some of these small-town, out-the-way churches seem to be created for the sole purpose of having a community where this "life style" is not only okay, but breeds. CM - CP - SA The grooming that goes into these woman starts at birth and is reinforced in every aspect of their life. As a survivor of SA - I am not shocked. It just amazes me the amount of people in this world who don't realize how truly BIG of a problem this really is. Without even realizing it - they are enablers. Don't give people one chance let alone two. If something feels off, seems off, looks off, IT IS FRACKING OFF. Don't give someone the benefit of the doubt. So happy there is no longer a statue of limitations on SA and PF and CM can be held accountable.

The saddest part of all of this that I have yet to see anyone mention is that this story is all too common. Most women have stories where they’ve experienced abuse, and family hid it to protect a predator. Usually you’re assaulted by someone you KNOW. This story is not unheard of, uncommon, or unique. We need to talk about the abuse we’re facing and why abusers are not only protected by law, but society. 1 in 3 girls go through this, Josh is the symptom of a culture that allows the abuse of children. The first reaction is to dismiss the victim, deny their story, and defend the abuser.

I'm a survivor of grooming and CSA. For years I was told that the people who hurt me were mentally ill or hurting in a way that made them lash out. This is not true. preditors aren't mentally ill, they lack all feelings and just want to make themselves feel powerful. The person who hurt me made me feel and my family feel like "it wasn't that bad" for years I thought I was just a mess. the people who hurt me thought they had won because they took away my teen years and for I had such bad anxiety in public bathrooms that I never left my house, and I never went to my dream school. But I'm working on fixing that I got a degree online and work as a CSA advocate and I'm in therapy. BUT these people aren't mentally ill, they're just awful. It was a big deal when my therapist told me that it wasn't an illness, but that was when I realized that I didn't need to feel bad

What makes me so sad about this is that he literally told them what was going on almost like he was asking them for help and they ignored it. It's a prime example of why we have to give people who could become abusers the help they need instead of judging them. Many parents ignore warning signs just because "my child isn't a pedophile" or whatever when addressing the issue is literally the only thing that will likely help. Parents ignoring such warning signs are enabling children to become predators and therefore, are actively ruining not only other childrens lives, but also their own child's lives just because they couldn't get past their denial. This happens to child victims too because "my child wasn't abused" and it's almost the same thing. It's the reason why I was continuously sexually abused as a child and every time I hear of such ignorance I want to scream.
