Watching her, is so triggering. I have BPD which she has as well. I hate to admit, that in my younger years.... I did similar things. But I dove into therapy, did the work. I fell on my face many many times. But I kept trying. I now behave totally different. I understand how my behavior affects others. It's MY responsibility to go to therapy, and do the self work. Watching her use her disorder as an excuse, watching her high, watching her lie straight thru her teeth, and most of all watching the way she treats her daughter and the family that takes care of her... Makes me so angry. She needs to take some time and get her 💩 together. She's so selfish. I wanted her to succeed, I wanted to see her heal and grow... But she refuses to do so. And the courts really try and keep parents in their children's lives... So I do understand why Gary tries so hard with Amber. But I also don't think she deserves that grace anymore.
@MaraJadeSkkyАй бұрын
Thank you for taking responsibility for yourself and bettering yourself instead of letting your diagnosis be your excuse not to put in the work. So, SO many people use their diagnosis as a justification why they should be able to stay stagnant and toxic. Props to you!
@sorry.not.sorry.allegedlyАй бұрын
@@MaraJadeSkky I appreciate that. To b honest, the reason I have BPD is because of the way I was raised(environmental)... But it's MY responsibility to do the work and fix my trauma so I'm not bleeding on people that didn't cut me. I'm a mother, and I had to take a long hard look at myself, my addiction, how I was moving and make some hard decisions. I didn't want to b the reason my children would later have to do their own work, that was totally my fault. I was so angry for so long. And now, I find myself seeing my own faults and wrongs instead of trying to point out everyone else's. Being self aware can b hard, and some of us definitely lack that skill. But if you want to heal, it's definitely possible. I'm almost a complete opposite of what I used to b. And I'm very proud of that. Being a mother, a parent, has been the greatest gift in my life, I cherish it. Thank you again 💜

My very least favorite would be Farrah, but Amber is a close second. She was awful to everyone. I remember a clip where she almost knocked Gary down the stairs while he was holding a TV. That mess was wild.

i had 1 of those "pitty ME mom" types.. she chose her BoyFriend over us, & she kept us 1st 3 locked up, cuz she thought she thought the courts could raise us better than SHE could.. (she would even lock us OUTSIDE to SLEEP, & when we COULDN'T make it to school the next morning, she'd have us locked up for it) even after i was finally honest with her about how often her BoyFriend would make a pass at me.. (then she started sending me to JAIL) .. even til her dying day, she STILL chose HIM.. (& all i'm left with is abuncha UNanswered questions)

I am so so sorry. Your mother should have protected you, loved you, and kept you safe. THAT is what a mother is supposed to do. I truly believe that after people pass, they see their mistakes in black & white, no more excuses, no more blame shifting. Regardless, your Mother knew she was wrong, even if she could never admit it. Some people are just so damaged in life, they cannot see what they do and the hurtful consequences of their actions. Maybe write her a letter, or write things down as they come up in your mind. Tell her all the things you couldn't when she was alive, because it would be met with denial or excuses. All the things that hurt you, all the things you like simple love and security you wished for and never received. She may not be here anymore, but trust me she will hear it. And let the hurt end with you, not carry in for more generations. Show her and yourself that no matter what she did, your life will be different, your children/loved one's will be treated differently than you were. Sending you a huge hug ❤

I am very sorry that happened to you. I have my own narcissistic monster that calls herself my mother.

I’ll never forget when she kicked him in the back as he was walking down a flight of stairs carrying a television. Brutal.

The dinner where leah bawled was so fucking sad. i hate amber. atleast farrah grew up and is protecting her daughter at all costs. I dont necessarily agree with everything she allows but that child is safe and loved.

I relate to Leah SO MUCH. My mom acted just like Amber to the point where some of the things Ambers says or even how she acts I get flashbacks of my mom doing and saying those same exact things. I cut my mom off for good now that I’m 29 and I’ve never felt more free and I think Leah is heading in that same direction. It will never get better because she doesn’t take accountability and she never will

Doesn’t Amber have a son too? Doesn’t the dad also have full custody of him as well?

She's a narcissist. I know people are throwing the narcissist thing loosely but as a victim of a narcissist parent, I can definitely see all the red flags in Amber.

Hi Kyeluh id love to know your views on the Carly situation because I personally feel that Carly’s parents watched the show and did the right thing by making sure Caitlyn and the dad (forgot his name) don’t interfere with Carly they gave her up for adoption so they don’t have any rights with that being said I sincerely hope Gary uses these recent episodes of teen mom to take to the courts so that they have evidence that this poor girl doesn’t want to see amber you don’t get to abuse/give up your kids for a tv show then try to use said tv show to make money off your kids and their trauma MTV should also be ashamed for enabling these types of exploitation and abuse

Gary didn’t have a dad growing up, maybe that’s why he never cut Amber off from Leah.
@Zenthropa7Ай бұрын
The court will not deny Amber her right to see her daughter, regardless of how Leah feels. Parental rights. When Leah is 18, she can cut her out completely. I am going through a similar situation. Courts do not care how the kids feel.

I remember watching all this back in the day and so many people were bashing Gary and I never understood why. He took so much and protected his child from an abusive adult as he absolutely should have. Always was teen Gary and always would be. Amber is disgusting

My husband and I share 50/50 custody of our kids...despite several CPS reports. People keep saying "When they get older, they can choose who they live with"....thats a myth. And i would be in trouble if i kept them from him

I think bipolar disorder is serious, and she definitely is repeating cycles of abusive behaviors. It’s tragic
@debbiemckeown7626Ай бұрын
Amber is the worst, even Jenelle managed to see her children more than she ever did and would take them places. She goes months without seeing Leah and the Judge allowed Andrew to move with James because she missed so many visits with him with excuses including it was raining. Leah is almost 16 now and she expects her to be happy to see her every 6 months when she is bothered to see her. Leah and James have never been her priority.

The fact she's arguing about how she isn't talking to Leah because Leah isn't messaging her "There is no message to respond to" Its not a childs responsibility to keep a relationship with their parent. Gross
