_The Offspring_ is one of the weirdest examples of a really successful band that just *[POOF]* totally disappeared from the mainstream. They didn't quit touring or making music (quite successfully even), but the mainstream seemed to decide _"meh... We're done with you"_. Nobody died; no plane crash; no overdose; just... gone away :-)

Ignition and Smash are by far my favorite Offspring albums. Their self-titled debut album has a lot of great songs. Ixnay is pretty good. Americana is okay, but after that their albums are not my flavor.

+M3RK CHAOS (son of discord) There are plenty of drummers better than Neil (Gavin Harrison or Matt Gartska, for example), but if I have to choose one of the drummers that have played for the Offspring I would pick Ron. They were my first punk rock band and still amazes me how good their songs were.

They are my all time absolutely no question about it, favorite band. I already knew Americana, but I started with their self titled album listened to each song in order until Splinter was done (this was 2005), all in one day. They've been my favorite band since!
