The debate over when you should drink your protein shake after a workout has to do with the sympathetic and the parasympathetic nervous systems. After an intense workout your sympathetic nervous system is in hyperactivity, therefore it’s best to wait for your system to switch to the sympathetic mode, which stimulates the digestive system, mostly for better absorption and digestion :)

First of all! I love love love love that you reminded us all that we are beautiful and valuable regardless of our bodies or butt specifically 💛💛💛 Id like to point out that even most Victoria Secret models (who represent the main stream idea of beauty for many) do not have huge round butts at all. I personally like the shape of a rounder butt, but every since I started exercising so I could getter perform at my job instead of so I could look a certain way, I’ve been way more consistent and happy in general. So thank you!!! So happy that you recommended to drink a protein shake after working out! I’ve been being mindful of what I eat, but didn’t think to purposefully plan a protein drink shortly after exercise. Just my two cents here: I personally do heavy kettlebell swings as my dominant exercise because my muscles really respond to power moves, then squats and deadlifts to supplement x2 a wk. My burn out for is made up of body weight bridges. But I actually do body weight bridges/hip thrusts 5x a week. I vaguely remember Bret Conteras (The Glute Guy) saying that it is ok to do a lil with the glutes every single day. I love that you pointed out to do more glute activation because I definitely don’t do enough of that!

My friend can't eat a lot either. She's petite. 5'1' 90 pounds. I'm not an expert but I do want to get better understanding of nutrition and fitness to improve myself and help my friends. I have her eat when she's hungry and what she eats is dense in calories (food fats, proteins, carbs). For snacks, she will literally mix mayo and hummus to eat with toast or crackers. Avocado and turkey rolls are great as well as eating a hard-boiled egg. Apple and cheese. Raw nuts and salami bites. Anything with good nutrition but is loaded in more calories. She is training 3-5 days a week. Drinks half a gallon of water daily and so far she's feeling good and she's up to 110 (after a year+). Edit. You can find dense calorie foods in any diet. If you are vegan its a little harder, but its still possible. My stomach doesn’t like meat much so i get protein through avocado, chicken breast, protein shakes, nuts, milk and veggies. I will also add that taking dietary supplements help. I don’t mean the weight gain or loss pills. I just mean normal vitamins. You need enough vitamin D, K, C, potassium to absorb calcium which is good for bones and muscles and overall health.

@@r0byncw your shoulders lie on something elevated (like a workout bench/ normal chair) and your feet are on the ground. Your body should be in one line from your knees to your shoulders. Actually according to some studies- consuming proteins in a form of a protein shake for example right after a workout is critical only if you are in a fasting state. If I remember correctly there is a 1,5 hrs window before muscles start breaking down and you need your protein. If you however eat a protein rich meal and then workout there is not need for the immediate protein consumption afterwards.

Jonesy haha omg I miss rice so much 🤣 I think my plan is to lose excess fat on keto and then build muscle and start gaining and eating carbs again but by then I should be used to the whole no sugar thing 👍🏼😂

Jonesy i want to lose upper body weight but gain in my lower body what should i do ?
@thechristelle44 жыл бұрын
lol idk who i am try a 3 days routine where you work cardio focus workout 2 times a week and 1 time just focus on lower body weightlifting with activation workout to target the muscle group you want to focus (flutes, hamstrings or quads etc) ! Hope this helps ! Btw I lost like 4 kgs mostly around my belly and waist with Chloe ting 2019 hourglass program which I’m finishing this week (2 days left) and I managed to keep my butt gains so try this one out if you want it’s free :)

which is better: mass gainer or protein powder for someone who wants to gain weight
@oliviafagin2934 жыл бұрын
Mass gainer. It's wayyy higher in calories. However, you can make your own (healthier)mass gainer by adding protein powder to a high calorie smoothie/juice.

Really great video! Am so used to clickbate that I had my doubts, but this is so informative & actually helpful information. I feel your advice is actually trustworthy & you know what you're talking about, unlike a lot of others out there. Really need to build in the glute activation part & burn outs to my workouts. Its about time I rejigged my workout plans, so excited to try a new structure. Definitely got a new follower off the back of his video & can't wait to learn more from your videos 💕
