What I eat to nourish & fuel my body 🌱🥘✨ - Breakfast: breakfast turkey meatballs loaded with veggies and fruit, cauliflower hashbrowns, adaptogenic mushroom tea (great coffee alternative!) and frozen wild blueberries and walnuts - Lunch: grass fed sirloin strips with teriyaki gf stir fry noodles w/ mixed vegetables - Snack: plant based superfood protein shake and a banana w/ coconut peanut butter and sprouted pumpkin seeds - Dinner: gut friendly chicken noodle soup (recipe coming soon!) - Dessert (not shown bc I ate it so fast bc yum): @skinnydipped dark chocolate peanut butter cup Each meal I make sure to have ALL the macronutrients (protein, carbs, & healthy fats) but also loaded with micronutrients (veggies and fruits for fiber and multivitamins) for optimal health but also make sure I actually ENJOY it 😌 Disclaimer: please remember I only show what I eat to inspire you to try new and nourishing meals NOT to show what to eat to look a certain a way or whatever. Everybody’s body is different and healthy looks different for everyone 💛

When to avoid doing HIIT exercises (so you’re not HIITing your hormones) High intensity exercises elevate levels of cortisol (aka your stress hormone). Cortisol isn’t a bad thing but obviously too much of it can wreak havoc on your hormones which then can wreck your results in the gym, skin health, hair health, fertility, and more. Here are the times I don’t do HIIT exercise (or any high intensity and high impact exercises): - During the second half of my menstrual cycle (luteal and menstrual phase) because during this time of the month my hormones are tanking/tanked. My body is more sensitive to stress so I definitely don’t want to add more stress/cortisol to my body during this time. - When I’m going/went through a mentally stressful period (crazy travel days, a lot of non stop work, etc.). Adding a high stress form of exercise to a high stress lifestyle is definitely not ideal for balanced hormones. - When I didn’t get enough sleep. Sleep deprivation has shown to raise stress/cortisol levels while a good night’s sleep has shown to reduce cortisol levels. - When I just got over being sick. Getting sick is alot on the body (aka stress), especially the immune system so even if I “feel” better I still will slowly ease my way back into working out. It it shown that high levels of cortisol weaken the immune system. SOOO many women think that you have to do the most in order to see results from their workout but in reality, they are doing more harm than good. This is your sign to stop with the “no pain, no gain” and “do it even if you’re tired” mentality. Time to honor our body! 🩷

Peep all the gluten and dairy 🤪 (obviously I ate more than what is shown in the reel) Not me traveling to Europe twice in less than a year just to be able to eat gluten and dairy LOL jk for the views and memories as well but in all seriousness Greece and Turkey had such absolutely delicious food! 🇬🇷🇹🇷 It still blows my mind that here in America I can’t eat gluten or dairy without some negative side effect (bc of all the hidden artificial ingredients). Also, did you know for less than $1,000 USD you can get a FULL day of a FULL body health check (literally from hormone testing to c@ncer testing, s) in Istanbul, Turkey??? (I can talk more about this another post but look up health tourism until then) America’s health and food system needs to get it together 🥲

What I drink in a day to support my health ☕️💛 - Morning: roasted dandelion root tea w/ a dash of wildflower local honey & unsweetened organic almond milk 🌼 Dandelion root benefits digestion but also liver health (which then supports proper detoxification which is a VERY important especially those with the MTHFR gene mutation) - Throughout the day: reverse osmosis water with electrolytes 💦 RO water is literally PLAIN water with no minerals so it is very important to replenish it with minerals/electrolytes. I LOVE Nectar packets! They are clean ingredient and give the water a nice subtle flavor without all the unnecessary sugar (like other electrolyte brands). Minerals are ESSENTIAL for all around good health (from hormonal health to even hair health) - Midday snack: Ora Organic vegan chocolate protein shake 🍫 We have been using and loving Ora’s protein powder for years now! Not only do they have 22g of protein per serving but it also has a digestive enzyme and superfoods/greens blend in it! Obviously protein is essential for muscle repair and building and many other processes within our body. - Night: Natural Vitality CALM magnesium with a dash of tart cherry juice 🍒 I love this before bed because it makes me fall asleep faster and stay asleep longer and obviously high quality and quality of sleep is incredibly important for overall good health. Tart cherry juice is known to help increase the body’s melatonin levels and rich in polyphenols (aka antioxidants)

Eating raw carrots has been LIFE CHANGING for my PMS (of course other diet and lifestyle changes played a huge role) but for me personally, ever since I started incorporating raw carrots into my daily diet I no longer have pre-period breakouts and no more sore 🍈🍈 Eating raw carrots to help support hormonal balance was studied by Dr.Peat. According to his research, raw carrots contain a unique fiber that binds to endotoxins and excess estrogen to safely eliminate them from the body. When his female patients consumed a raw carrot salad once or twice per day, they experienced: less painful menstrual symptoms (heavy periods, cramping, acne, headaches, etc.) 🥕🧡 I personally like to eat it with hummus alongside a protein shake for my midday snack but you can also try the famous raw carrot salad: - Raw carrots - ACV - Oil (coconut, olive, or avocado) - Sea Salt

Just ensure a week before periods and while on periods you get warm. The cramps are due to scrapping off excess blood on the walls, so it will be much easier when you are warm. Hydrated and exercise a lot

Thank you for sharing. I had hair loss on and when getting off the pill. And my acne is out of control since coming off. I’m trying supplements and diet changes to rebalance out my body after stopping the pill. I told my gyno about my acne and she offered to prescribe me the pill again until I can get to a dermatologist 😫 I am tempted to go back to clear flawless skin but I don’t like that I feel like I need it to feel beautiful. I was gorgeous, clear skinned and curvy on the pill.. and now I have deflated boobs and acne prone skin off of it .🥲 The pill did a lot for me and I am grateful but seeing the drastic difference after coming off of it, makes me not wanna go back.
