I understand that cycle syncing helped with your negative symptoms, but if your periods were that painful maybe you should look into endometriosis or PCOS. I believe that cycle syncing works and it does help with symptoms from those diseases, but the general woman should not have that much pain on their period regardless of how out of sync their hormones are.

Full Body Dumbbell Only Luteal Phase Workout 💛 This workout is perfect for the luteal phase (aka the week before your period where your hormones are tanking and your body is more sensitive to stress) because: 1. Using light weight 2. Slow and controlled movements 3. Quick but effective for the full body just in case you’re not in the mood to workout when 🩸 comes 🤪 - Warm up (more prone to injuries in the phase) - 10x3 DB Squat to Shoulder Press - 10x3 Static Lunge to Hammer Curl - 10x3 RDL to Calf raise - 10x3 Chest Press to Overhead Weighted Sit Up - Cool down & static stretch (again, more prone to injuries during luteal phase)

Welcome back Kyla! You’ve been missed. I’ve been following you since your viral video in 2020 so to see you grow into a KZbinr who actually cares about their privacy, family, and their audience is amazing. I would love for you to open up more about life experiences but I understand if it’s hard. I can’t wait for the long educational videos though! Congratulations on everything 🎉

I’m glad you’re back in this platform! I actually have been off of Facebook and Insta for 2 years. So KZbin is really my only “outlet” at the moment. I’m 35 with 3 amazing kids and recently learned of cycle syncing with your channel <3 I was also born and raised in FL!! Currently my husband and I are In AZ. Our 13th anniversary is tomorrow, but we love FL and miss our fam that still lives there!

I’ve been missing Hawai’i extra lately, especially all the ono foods 🥲 so I had some ripe bananas that I forgot to use and decided to make banana bread with flavors from islands (but gluten free of course) It seriously was the yummiest banana bread I’ve had yet. Even my non-gluten free family members loved it! Dry ingredients: - 1 1/2 cups 1:1 gluten free flour - 1/2 cup coconut sugar - 1 tsp baking powder - 1/2 tsp baking soda - 1/2 tsp sea salt Wet ingredients: - 2 eggs - 1 tsp vanilla extract - 1 1/4 cups ripe bananas (I used 3 medium bananas) - 1 (8-ounce) can crushed pineapple with juice (bonus points if its Dole) - 1/2 cup melted coconut oil Add-ins: - 1/2 cup macadamia nuts, dry roasted & chopped - 1/2 cup unsweetened coconut flakes Directions: - Preheat oven to 350 degrees - Grease your loaf pan (I greased with ghee) - Dry roast macadamia nuts until slightly browned (it took literally a few minutes) - Once nuts cooled, chop them up. Set aside. - Combine dry ingredients. Mix and set aside. - In a separate bowl, mix wet ingredients. - Add your dry ingredients to the wet. Mix well but don’t over mix! - Add the roasted, chopped macadamia nuts and unsweetened coconut flakes. Gently fold in. - Pour batter into greased loaf pan. - Bake in oven for 53-60 minutes at 350 degrees (I took mine at 53 minutes and it brown on the outside but still moist on the inside) - Use a clean knife or toothpick to make sure batter is cooked inside - Allow banana bread to cool completely before cutting Next up: mango bread! 🤤

Gut friendly chicken noodle soup 🍲 This recipe is not only great for the gut (due to it being gluten free and contains bone broth) it is also high in protein and great as the weather is getting colder aka sick season! Ingredients: - one whole cooked rotisserie chicken, shredded (I like to get mine at Whole Foods because they don’t use added hormones, antibiotics, etc. in their chicken) - 1 1/2 (32 oz) cartons of organic chicken bone broth - 3-4 celery stalks, chopped - 4-5 carrots, sliced into coins - 1 medium onion, chopped - 2-3 garlic cloves, chopped - 1 tbsp of olive oil - 2 tsp of parsley - 1 bay leaf - 1 tsp of thyme - 1 tsp of black pepper - Gluten free noodles of choice (I used @jovialfoods Mafalda noodles) Directions: - Shred rotisserie chicken - Chop vegetables (carrots, celery, onion, and garlic) - Heat olive oil over medium heat in a large pot - Add vegetables to pot and stir until slightly tender - Add in bone broth and seasons. Stir. - Allow soup to come to low boil (until carrots are fully softened) - Add chicken and noodles - Stir softly until noodles are fully cooked - Serve!

What I eat to nourish & fuel my body 🌱🥘✨ - Breakfast: breakfast turkey meatballs loaded with veggies and fruit, cauliflower hashbrowns, adaptogenic mushroom tea (great coffee alternative!) and frozen wild blueberries and walnuts - Lunch: grass fed sirloin strips with teriyaki gf stir fry noodles w/ mixed vegetables - Snack: plant based superfood protein shake and a banana w/ coconut peanut butter and sprouted pumpkin seeds - Dinner: gut friendly chicken noodle soup (recipe coming soon!) - Dessert (not shown bc I ate it so fast bc yum): @skinnydipped dark chocolate peanut butter cup Each meal I make sure to have ALL the macronutrients (protein, carbs, & healthy fats) but also loaded with micronutrients (veggies and fruits for fiber and multivitamins) for optimal health but also make sure I actually ENJOY it 😌 Disclaimer: please remember I only show what I eat to inspire you to try new and nourishing meals NOT to show what to eat to look a certain a way or whatever. Everybody’s body is different and healthy looks different for everyone 💛

When to avoid doing HIIT exercises (so you’re not HIITing your hormones) High intensity exercises elevate levels of cortisol (aka your stress hormone). Cortisol isn’t a bad thing but obviously too much of it can wreak havoc on your hormones which then can wreck your results in the gym, skin health, hair health, fertility, and more. Here are the times I don’t do HIIT exercise (or any high intensity and high impact exercises): - During the second half of my menstrual cycle (luteal and menstrual phase) because during this time of the month my hormones are tanking/tanked. My body is more sensitive to stress so I definitely don’t want to add more stress/cortisol to my body during this time. - When I’m going/went through a mentally stressful period (crazy travel days, a lot of non stop work, etc.). Adding a high stress form of exercise to a high stress lifestyle is definitely not ideal for balanced hormones. - When I didn’t get enough sleep. Sleep deprivation has shown to raise stress/cortisol levels while a good night’s sleep has shown to reduce cortisol levels. - When I just got over being sick. Getting sick is alot on the body (aka stress), especially the immune system so even if I “feel” better I still will slowly ease my way back into working out. It it shown that high levels of cortisol weaken the immune system. SOOO many women think that you have to do the most in order to see results from their workout but in reality, they are doing more harm than good. This is your sign to stop with the “no pain, no gain” and “do it even if you’re tired” mentality. Time to honor our body! 🩷

Peep all the gluten and dairy 🤪 (obviously I ate more than what is shown in the reel) Not me traveling to Europe twice in less than a year just to be able to eat gluten and dairy LOL jk for the views and memories as well but in all seriousness Greece and Turkey had such absolutely delicious food! 🇬🇷🇹🇷 It still blows my mind that here in America I can’t eat gluten or dairy without some negative side effect (bc of all the hidden artificial ingredients). Also, did you know for less than $1,000 USD you can get a FULL day of a FULL body health check (literally from hormone testing to c@ncer testing, s) in Istanbul, Turkey??? (I can talk more about this another post but look up health tourism until then) America’s health and food system needs to get it together 🥲

What I drink in a day to support my health ☕️💛 - Morning: roasted dandelion root tea w/ a dash of wildflower local honey & unsweetened organic almond milk 🌼 Dandelion root benefits digestion but also liver health (which then supports proper detoxification which is a VERY important especially those with the MTHFR gene mutation) - Throughout the day: reverse osmosis water with electrolytes 💦 RO water is literally PLAIN water with no minerals so it is very important to replenish it with minerals/electrolytes. I LOVE Nectar packets! They are clean ingredient and give the water a nice subtle flavor without all the unnecessary sugar (like other electrolyte brands). Minerals are ESSENTIAL for all around good health (from hormonal health to even hair health) - Midday snack: Ora Organic vegan chocolate protein shake 🍫 We have been using and loving Ora’s protein powder for years now! Not only do they have 22g of protein per serving but it also has a digestive enzyme and superfoods/greens blend in it! Obviously protein is essential for muscle repair and building and many other processes within our body. - Night: Natural Vitality CALM magnesium with a dash of tart cherry juice 🍒 I love this before bed because it makes me fall asleep faster and stay asleep longer and obviously high quality and quality of sleep is incredibly important for overall good health. Tart cherry juice is known to help increase the body’s melatonin levels and rich in polyphenols (aka antioxidants)
