I know I wish I could have, we had a race the next night. Thunderbowl is a great track and I was excited to see the outlaws return.

well maybe cuz it is california, some of the drivers that are from there actually might have had more time on the dirt there, seems though most of the dominant drivers in sprints are either from california, or ohio and indiana, or maybe illinos and pennsylvania you do have some drivers from there too though you have david gravel and what can I say I belive he hold 2 of the all time fastest records for speed achieved in a 410 winged sprint, and I am more a fan of indiana and ohio boys and girls, though I will cheer on rico abru justin grant or maybe larson if the race is close, young money can drive just about anything like aj foyt, just as long as he dont come out and say he supports socialism, california can keep that and the earthquakes

@@JohnnieWalkerDread yes though you have to figure, the huge auto parts manufacturing industry here and because of the reputation and history of the indy motor speedway, in a documentry about its history someone called it really the first dedicated super speedway and the 500 mile race was just lightyears beoned what anyone had done before then as far as car racing, and all the little bull ring tracks we got as well as some of the highest banked race tracks in all the land, at madison, and winchester, they are paved yes but its really fast action, but two things that make we ant to rage is that we dont have but one frickin half mile dirt track while ohio has several, and we dont have a long dirt mile anymore while the land of lincolin has both that usac races on as far as dirt at springfield and duquine, because the son of a bitches at the state fair board want to be able to have a place to train harness racing year round and all weather, and have more room to park so they paved over the half mile there too, and they put dont crushed limestone which is too dangerous to race cars and theroughbreeds or quarter horses either, and heven forbid they kept the half mile there so we could have at least some silver crown dirt champ car racing there at the hallowed grounds where an automobile hit 60 mph for the first time ever. sacramento still has theirs though I dont think cars raced on it since black sunday in the 70's and the horsetracks here would not allow a car race even if you could convince usac to try the idea and put up a temporary catch fence and barriors, and it was only one of three left on the crown scedual which its my understanding that the big roadster style cars were made for running to begine with the big mile dirt tracks, and really its the most organic form of racing as it was the long cowl roadsters for over 100 years that raced on long horse and board tracks that were the roots in the late 1800's to early 20th century, before they had actual dedicated auto racing tracks when it was still a novalty and very cowboy and full of ingenuity. whats worse is the two big horse tracks are in shelbyvill just outside indy, and in anderson home of the little 500 and makers of many auto parts, it also says they have a half mile at the elkhart conty fair grounds up by southbend where studabakers and many recrational vehichles were and are turned out but looking at the track the fence would not be sutable for holding in 130 mph 1600 lb cars to race it either while it is fine for demo derbys and horse racing they do there yes or maybe motorcycle flat track. and dont get me wrong they say the north counties here in indiana among the annabaptists and farmers harness racing is big a websited on trotting and pacer harness racing called indiana the hub of the harness racing wheel in the region and I love horses as much as the next guy they can be fun to ride and feed and so nice to pet, but we are an auto racing state not kentucky and its derby. ya know

@@JohnnieWalkerDread but yes oklahoma and arizona seems to be big on sprint racing as well, and you do get them cats from canada and from new zeland and australia down under they love to race as well just love it from watching live streams of drags and streamed races from there, its not as big but it still has a large following, just like percussive dance does in the south and the atlantic states here and the british isles, and street car racing.
