If you watched the victory lane interviews after the race, you can understand why Larson is so good. He stated that he was either going to win the race or wreck trying. Brian Brown on the other hand said that he backed off going into three because he didn't want to chance hurting the car before the Nationals. That's why Kyle won and Brownie finished second. Larson runs every race like it could be his last, no matter what type of car he is in, and that's why he wins so much. He is just so much fun to watch when he races. Dude can put that sprint car where no one else would think to run and makes some unbelievable moves. I've been watching dirt track racing for almost 50 years and I will watch any race that he decides to show up to, no matter what kind of car it is. Been lucky enough to see most of the best over the years, and while there may be better sprint car drivers in the past, I'm not sure there is a better all around driver in the past 30 years.

Larson has a gift. His gift is to drive race cars. His very existence for being is to drive race cars. I saw him driving a wingless sprint car at Calistoga. His performance was nothing less then spectacular. Calistoga is a scary fast place with no wing. Made no difference Kyle drove his car so deep into the corners it was scary. The level of confidence combined with the gift he has made the impossible look easy. I have no doubt we are witnessing something very special. I hope for is safety and success to continue for a while. I sure enjoy watching him drive whatever type car he straps on. For me he displays his gift to its fullest on dirt in either a sprint car or a midget. He drives as though he is possessed by his destiny. His destiny is to display his gift for all of us to enjoy. Very few truly know there purpose for being. Kyle Larson knows his purpose. Lucky for all of us to be here at the same time to watch.
