Trying to use the defendant's right to remain silent as an indication of guilt should automatically have that prosecutor disbarred. That is blatantly unconstitutional, and any lawyer should know better than to try that.

Yep. And any lawyer worth a penny will tell you that talking to the police aside from giving your name, age, address, ID, your lawyer's business card, etc. can only get you in more trouble. There are countless innocent people who have talked themselves into criminal charges. Often they're found not guilty in court. But still if you've just defended yourself against a would be murderer, you're already in enough trouble in the eyes of the police. And you don't wanna make your expensive criminal trial even more expensive than it has to be by making the police believe you've done a bunch of other illegal things. For example: "I've never done anything wrong! I'm innocent! I may have pirated some movies, but I'm no murderer!" See what you just did there? You admitted to engaging in piracy.

Too minor at this point for a mistrial and judge will likely explain they are to disregard the line of questioning the prosecutor was saying. If the prosecutor keeps it up though these minor things combine together to be considered enough to suggest prosecutor is doing it intentionally to sway the jury then like the defence said they’ll ask for mistrial with prejudice which means mistrial AND the case can’t be retried. (Aka prosecutor is on thin ice cuz if that happens he’s probably getting fired so he will likely stop these shenanigans now)

Someone threatened him was throwing stuff at him and lunged at him he shot that guy and ran towards police. Then 3 people started shouting how he shot someone. They attacked him and one had a gun. He shot them all. He defended himself totally and completely hes innocent.

It's about time that we see a judge stand up for a defendant in this type of situation in a court room instead of just giving him a quick threat to not continue the line of questioning. Instead he actually laid into him about it and I was so happy to see a judge put a DA in his place in this kind of situation. We need more judges like this.

Rather than taking a stand for a defendant, he is doing what a judge should do and that is as an umpire and applying the Courts Administration Rule of Law, he could rule for either side depending on who is breaking the rules.

Judge is suffering from some degree of dementia. 75 years old? The research that they have now done shows that process can actually start happening when people are in their 30s. So he's probably well into it. Confusion, memory lapses, lapses of logic, irritability. Prosecutor is much more with it, regardless of whether you admire his prosecutorial approach or not. That's besides the point. He's much more with it. Judge needs to retire.

I come from a family of hunters and gun enthusiasts. I do own archery hunting equipment but do not have any firearms in my house. What went on in that city where Kyle was forced to act could easily have been my brother protecting my family and property. That was one brave American, more than likely scared but no less brave. From what I remember from viewing the footage, The mob of rioters were pursuing Rittenhouse, and he was actively trying to evade them.when they caught up to him, Rosenbaum swung and hit him in the head with the skateboard and he went down at that point. When Grosskreuts charged him with his pistol and attempted to grab the rifle along with the other rioter, Rittenhouse opened fire killing Rosenbaum,the other rioter,and severely wounding Grosskreuts. If anyone should be on trial, it should be Grosskreuts, for possible property damage, and attempted theft and murder. This prosecutor is a joke, he should be disbarred from law and fined for his gross misconduct of political gain,and his past cases should be reviewed. I said this in another comment section, that this case should be a wake up call to the far left in that the law shouldn't be used as a political tool to gain a preferred result of a trial.

I'll never understand prosecutors that think getting on the judge's bad side is a good thing. It's like top 3 worst things you can do. I fully believe prosecutors that do this are most likely some variation of narcissist or sociopath because you would have to be delusional to see this as a good thing; your selfish sense of grandiosity is removed from reality.

As a former criminal attorney's paralegal, I agree 100%. Never say that phrase. Never interrupt the judge either, or get a smirk on your face when a judge is already mad. I've seen some things in courtrooms, and those instances were always the wildest.

The prosecutor wants to use the fleeting attitudes & shifting feelings of a 17 yr. old to freeze frame one depicting the defendant badly. That's what reporters do to stir up emotions and is highly prejudicial in a courtroom.

@@TheSkiMaskReviewer Drug possession is illegal though, so is assault, that's why they get legitimately sentenced. Carrying a gun and shooting in self-defense however is not a crime, but a right. A stupid one, but that's beneath the point, it's entirely within the law, therefore he has to be innocent and can't be sentenced as sort of twisted vengeance for all the other criminals who have nothing to do with this case

Nah, unless he gets out of line on final arguments the trial is almost over. Albeit, he has basically given cause for appeals, on the slim chance Rittenhouse loses. Binger has been so out of line.

I think we’re still a few years away from sham trials in the US. Kangaroo courts will absolutely come, but I really don’t think this is going to be the first one

How about when he is being beaten with a Skateboard, or when a guy with a .40 handgun comes at you raising said handgun? I guess that isn’t self defense? The judge knows this case shouldn’t even be happening.

That judge is rightfully angry at what the prosecutor just did

But this prosecutor I think is personally trying to throw this trial because all the witnesses they have had has pushed the narrative towards self defense of kyle, since we know the minor weapons charge is going to get dropped.

This is one "no nonsense" judge. The prosecutor ... well I guess flirting with a contempt citation might be appropriate. To think of all the defendants he may have sent to prison because the presiding judge wasn't on top of things like this judge is.

It wasn’t the “verbal threat” that caused Kyle to shoot Rosenbaum. It was him chasing after Kyle and reaching for his weapon that made him fire upon him. Worst lawyer ever.
