At least the big rod had a circle hook. You will hook the tourist in the corner of the mouth and not the jugular....🤣

My favorite is when I have my rod in a rod holder in the surf and someone rides their bike straight through my line 😂

Happens way too much. Swimmers, surfers - no situational awareness at all.

I had an even worse experience when a seagull flew into my line and got tangled up

I come down to Florida twice a year so I guess I'm considered a tourist but we love it so much there that we consider ourselves 2 time a year residents. I have had quite often people swimming into my lines and some even do it when they know the lines are there. But I've actually had more trouble out of locals who do not want fishermen on the beach. They don't care if your a local or a tourist. I've had people tell me the beach is for swimmers and fishermen are not wanted there, If I argue with them, I'm considered a bad tourist and should go back where I came from. It's the only bad thing I've ever experienced there but it can ruin your whole trip.

I love those blue crabs I've caught them on shrimp while fishing for pomps.

Use 6 oz sinker and cast it in to does paddle boarders. Bruh I swear the beach is wide and big. I just don’t understand why they have to come close to your line.

Nothing worse that people with lack of courtesy. I've parents bring their kids to play directly under my line when the beach is wide open. Also ruined one of my fav 5year old cheap reel coz I went past the tourist to cast and reel went under water. On the positive side, you feel twice as happy once they are gone 10mins later...

I went jettys fishing for the first time yesterday and have to say it’s the cross fit of fishing it can be painful at times and tiredsome but the rewards can be great. That being said I fell down really hard yesterday at the jettys didn’t hurt myself at all but have mad respect for y’all that do it on the daily 🤘🏽💪🏽

Here in Southern California we get surfer wannabes who know nothing about the surf with their fancy surfboards and stylish wetsuits. I've actually had a couple hook themselves thrashing around in my lines because they can't handle the real surf-worthy water. I didn't feel bad for them at all; in fact I cussed them out for being such morons, damaging my tackle and interfering with my hard-earned fishing time, which I have just as much right to as anyone who wants to surf. Oh, but you got hooked and are bleeding through your fancy new wetsuit? Well, it sucks to be you, doesn't it? And then the real surfers (who tend to be locals and therefore also fishermen) laugh at them. Actually, getting hooked is the least dangerous thing for them -- just being out there in the surf in the first place not knowing what they're doing to the point that they can't even avoid fishing lines is the real danger they're subjecting themselves to.

Sorry, just have to shake my head. Lots of boaters do that shit down here in central florida too. Drives you nuts! No respect for others peoples areas. It’s why I can’t fish jetties or where lots of people are. To be honest I’ve stopped fishing in general because of a lot of this. Rather have a chill day than dealing w ass holes. :)

@@EyeCanShootFL just hang on to the rod and let em have all your braid - they wanna play like that, they can find out what a marine mechanic charges to fix damage done by 300 yds of braid...
