Miss the beach fishing there. I was stationed there 20 years ago. Still have my first surf rod I bought to learn to fish the ocean from the beach. Great times. Great content. Was in Bakers Florida couple years ago. Never got the time to hit the fish scene. Actually did some house searching around Pensacola. Still so many places not repaired from the hurricane. Hope to be there one day for good.

Around age 13, summer house on marshy Cape Cod bay, near Barnstable, I walked way out, solo, at low tide to do the usual exploring and shellfish scavenge hunt in the stinky muck. Felt like I was a 1/4 mile out, water shin deep, and I full on stepped into a person-sized hole, in over my head, no bottom I could feel. All I could think of was the giant astroid monster the Millennium Falcon had landed in/escaped from. Augh!!! I'd had American Red Cross aquatic life saving course my mom had made me do a year prior (good thinking!) so floundered myself up out of the bottomless muck hole, while dead certain that toothy serpent was about to pull me down for dinner. Watch those holes!!
