Kyle: I really felt a twang of regret that I lost in a fire the only picture/address of a lady who worked on Bien Hoa Air Base 1968-1969. Her name was Huong and was from Cho Lon outside Saigon, I lost contact when I was discharged from the Army and my buddy who was still in VietNam lost my Mothers address. I am alive today because she looked after me and helped me through some rough times in Bien Hoa. I never forgot her and think of her almost daily. Your work is the Lord's work and keep doing it; your reward is the faces and happiness I saw in this video. I wish I could have been more helpful to her and possibly made a difference in her life. Looking forward to the reunion of subject family and your future videos. Stay safe.

I'm glad people like you exist. My grandma tried her whole life to find her uncle who moved to the US. She died 15 years ago at age 90 still talking about how sad she was that she never found him, so I can kinda understand the desperation of people who are looking for their family. Only now I would have the technology, the knowledge and the money to be able to find her uncle but he was much older than her so he most likely died a long time ago and I kinda doubt that his kids (who should now be over 80 years old) would be that much interested in reuniting with our family, afterall there isn't a single person alive who knows each other. My father and his siblings are curious about this but don't seem really interested in actually trying it. They said they would want to know the story of what happened to them but they wouldn't really want to meet up and talk to each other.

Hi Kyle, I love your videos. Love when you reunite families. I love watching videos like yours. I used to watch David Nostas (Busca Personas Latino), but he died last year. He helped reunite hundreds or maybe even thousands of family. I think he too started on his own but with time his business grew. People started finding him and he also started to get sponsored. He became very well known in Latin America. In the end he had a team that helped him work (help him search for info or any documents), he had appearances on tv, had many more sponsors and he was able to fly family members to meet eachother. Whenever I see you reunite families, I really believe you can really be like a David Nostas too. Become big, earn your money, have stability & more, and help people. You totally have what it takes. I feel like you just need to meet the right people for this to happen but I totally 100% believe that you can. However, I don't know if this is something you want to continue to do. Maybe you have other dreams, that is ok too and you should follow them if that's the case. But just know that there are people outthere who believes in you and believes in your work and that you CAN do it, you CAN make it. Just believe in yourself too. Maybe try applying for bigger projects outside of KZbin that you thought was "outside of your reach". Throw yourself in the "depth", try new things, find out what you like and don't like and make new experiences. You can only learn and grow from whatever you do, nothing less. Wish you all the best

Think of it this way. Lots of people in the West are lonely and feel they don't have any trust or connection with the people anymore. People are superficial and value materialistic nonsense over human connection and integrity, loyalty. Money cannot buy the latter. People move oun of communities they don't feel they belong in all the time. People take pay cuts to be closer to families and friends, or to have a better work life balance. People take on lower paying work to not deal with horrible management or co-workers. Those are factors as to why people can be happy on less.

Brother, this is amazing. I commend you for all that you did for this family! Can't wait to see the reunion. I promise I won't cry, but I am scheduled to cut onions for a soup I'm making so....

This reminds me a lot of my dads village in Mexico. A lot of similarities with the town, houses, and landscape. So beautiful. Such a beautiful story. Great job my friend.

Fifty one years is a very long time! Vietnam, especially Saigon has changed a lot, positively. Many don't even recognize it. Nowadays many old Vietnamese people living abroad want to go back to Vietnam for retirement, which helps them connect to the community speaking the same language and sharing the same culture and tradition.

It's great that you're hustling, but all those gigs you mentioned aren't stable and indie/circuit filmmaking can even be a money sink on average. What about starting an agency to reunite families? Hire a few employees, and I can see you turning this into something lucrative (if there aren't tons of competing agencies like this already). You seem to be developing a nice reputation with folks seeking out your services, so you'd be skipping one of the hardest parts of starting up a new business. The family docs can naturally be part of the business. Lots of luck!

That’s what private detectives agencies are for

That's what autistic 4chan/redditors are for. Private investigators can find people like that but they have no resources that the avg person on the internet can use. Sometimes they can get credit card info but it's almost always illegal now so they don't do it for cheap at all.@@Insomniac_tv
