Was talking with a neighbour just now as he came back home super late, turns out he was working 12hrs shifts and needed some coffee to push through the rest of his day but since it was late and not quite near the city he muttered, "oh I wish i had some coffee right now" I sprung and made him a latte, I could feel how heartfelt and thankful he was and it just made my day! I only ever made food for myself and my immediate loved ones, never thought I would make for anyone else yet here I am haha! Thank you for your content Kyle, fellow Canadian power! I think the Lagom Mini interests me a lot. I’ve heard good things about the Ode but a lot of people mention not being able to go fine enough without upgrading. I love that the Lagon is so compact and it has a very nice design as well. Very friendly size for anyone with little counter space.

This week I am traveling to Vienna for a week although I normally work in Berlin, so I can help one of my best friends get over his heartbreak that he told me about yesterday. My boss was very nice about it and since we mostly work from home during covid anyway, he has no problem with it. So now i get to be there for my friend and help him get back on his feet, which really really makes me happy!

I would prefer the Fellow Ode for the ease of adjustment and speed it offers. My family is currently in quarantine as my wife recently tested positive for covid. An act of kindness - I enjoy the small smiles of people, and since we're going into the new year, buying the coffee for the person behind me is one thing I love to do and will! The other thing, whenever I see a group/couple taking selfies/one person is stood out as camera man, I offer to take the photo for them. Having your photo taken always feels good, but also you often get better photos :)

This week I will spend some time helping my younger sister (she's 11) prepare for history, geography and maths exams. Two weeks before christmas break she got sick and was in a hospital for 9 data. I found out my elderly neighbor spent her holidays alone and tonight I was able to bring her some homemade focaccia and a family recipe for a small roasted chicken. It was pretty sweet just to eat, hear her stories and just spend some quality time. I live in a city and have only been in the neighborhood for a year and some change, while she's lived in that house almost 50 years.

For my act of kindness this week I’m going to give double the amount of proceeds to some of the foundations I give to every month from my coffee label. I’m super grateful to be able to do this and to end the year on a high note. Hi Kyle! Literally on New Year's Eve, I was driving home from out of town. On the way, I saw a car parked with emergency lights. I stopped to see if my help was needed. It turned out that the guy was walking in the woods with his wife and did not turn off the headlights. His battery is completely discharged. I always have a portable car charger in my car. (I recommend everyone to buy it and put in the trunk). We’ve started his car and He didn't know how to thank me. I invited him to dine with my family. We got to know each other better, had a great evening and even celebrated the New Year together. A very unusual story of acquaintance. And of course I made them a great cappuccino!

This year I roasted 10 lbs of coffee to give away to neighbors and family, cooked some meals and bread for my mom who is 94 and is still in a pretty good shape, for the grinder I think I like the Ode, I already have a Niche and Commadante and would use the Ode for my wife’s morning coffees, that would be nice. Every year for christmas my wife puts together a few stockings to give to the homeless. Because of of the weather and we haven't travelled much we haven't been able to give the stockings out. Hopefully we will be able to give them out this week. Last week I helped an old lady who fell on the street, nothing serious happened but it still felt good helping her, although she didn't really appreciate it. Also I think I'd be more happy with the lagom. Currently really happy with my 1zpresso JX pro. But slowly the hand grinding and constant change from espresso to aero press settings calls for another grinder. and since I travel home from time to time the lagom seems like a really nice option

I've collected ~10 wired headsets, a writing tablet, and a bicycle and will be donating them to an orphanage nearby, where I used to volunteer to teach English. I’m a hairstylist and the thing I love most about my job is being able to make a person feel great about themselves and put a smile on their face. I have a client that has had a really rough year with medical issues and therefor financial struggles. With the help of her daughter, I was able to book her in for her to have her hair colour done, and I’ll be doing it for free. Definitely Lagom mini! The price here in Korea is almost the same due to shipping price, so only grinder ability is important here. Since I am only brewing for myself, Lagom has wider range of grind size and almost no retention, meaning not losing any of my special coffee! But since I have a conical burr hand grinder, it'd be nice to have a flat burr grinder set to widen my coffee experience! Well, local business in S. Korea is having a really hard time because of on-going social distance. I've already tried to visit nearby stores and tried not to use any mobile/online shopping. but since we are making a promiss here, I'd only visit local stores here and write some short cheerful messages for them this week. Yes, it'd be much nicer if I could do more for them, but the supportive messages could help them more to relieve their steresses from this disconnection. For my current circumstances I would definetly go with the Fellow Ode, since I am mostly brewing french press right now. I love those smaller acts of kindness, like letting someone in front of you at the supermarket checkout because you have a full cart and they only have few things. I’m a social worker in Los Angeles area working with people experiencing homelessness at emergency shelters. So everyday I’m providing support while finding housing for our clients through our subsidized rent program. PS I just love how the Ode looks. Would match my kettle and I don’t brew espresso. I’m hosting some teens from my church for a games night. Supposed to be -35c outside, so there’s not much else they can do in our little town. We’ve been learning how to make coffee drinks…can’t believe how much there is to discover. The Ode with the upgraded burrs seem like my pick!!

I'm gonna be helping with flood relief efforts this week, probably cleaning some houses or cooking meals for the affected here in Malaysia. The floods may have receded but the cleanup remains. Also gonna be carrying my aeropress to stay caffeinated through the day, who knows a cup of coffee might make someone else's day too. Personally I love the aesthetics of the fellow

I feel like the Ode would be a better fit for my current needs. I have a grinder but it's geared towards espresso so I'm currently using pre-ground for my filter/pour over. Also this week I've been helping my handicapped neighbor move out of his house and into a nursing home. His family is seemingly distant, so I'm trying to show him someone cares especially during this holiday season. Thank you so much for consistently pushing out quality content it's really appreciated and your efforts don't go unnoticed!

Thanks for spreading the holiday spirit and another great video. Just got a dump of snow and decided to help my neighbour shovel their walkway after mine. Glad I stumbled upon this video as I’m looking to upgrade, but haven’t seen any recent reviews on the Ode. Thanks for the review. I had some new neighbors move in across the street and have noticed them struggle with taking out the trash. I’ll be taking it out for them this week and for the foreseeable future. Cool idea for a giveaway!

Another solid comparison video and man, I am liking that Lagom Mini with the 48mm burrs, it really has really caught my eye, but then again, I have an espresso grinder already so the Ode is also a good solid choice as I do a LOT of pour overs (v60's, chemex, Kalita, Hario Switch) so the Ode would be a really great addition to my setup. My first kindness act for the new year is taking my friend to the pharmacy on Sunday to get his booster shot. Also, since I am roasting my own beans now, I am sending my coffee to my friends all over the States. I sent out some bags for Christmas and the people who called and expressed an interest in my coffee are getting free coffee for the year. Happy New Year, Kyle.
