Love it! Thanks for showing the straightening process in detail, I’ve always wondered how you deal with that in such a large piece.

Your channel deserves far more subscribers. I saw your work on IG but had to hunt for ages to find your KZbin videos. Even searching “medieval Damascus sword” you were way down the list. Starting to understand how KZbin works, this may be because your have the words sword / knife / dagger etc in your titles so KZbin will not promote them which would get you the views and subs you deserve

warren parton-bill yeah, I’m looking into the whole names for titles, I can’t get monetized because (i think) KZbin does not like the KyleRoyerKNIVES name. Like the knives part. I’m looking into possibly rebranding our KZbin name to something else. ~ KZbin editor, and Kyle’s brother Josh

KyleRoyerKnives you massively deserve it and I hope you can get it sorted. The time you take to explain the process and your decisions is fantastic and very educational. It’s strange because after I posted my comment I checked Alex Steele’s page and he is using similar terms but it promoted and monetised. He might be worth reaching out to if not done already. There is great opportunity to make KZbin a business but there is a definite approach to it as they rely on algorithms rather than people making decisions. Anyway, there are people who understand it all far better than me. I just felt you guys really deserve it. Fantastic works and great videos. Hope to see you reap the reward 👍

even if I appreciate your work I find it unfortunate that a master smith does not forge the tip of his sword and that work looks more like stock removal ... ??? maybe you have good reasons to do it without forging it?

Nyko kuro most likely so he can make sure his pattern is centred to the tip. If he forged it he’d distort the pattern. Also likely a preventative against warping. Sometimes they can warp so that you have to grind the profile straight. If he forged the tip he could lose some length if it warped
