can't we get the real hardware they used back in the 80s to make these wonderful beats ?

It's a lot more expensive to use the old hardware and you get effectively the same sound

I will say as a producer who LOVES this genre this is an excellent tutorial. Major takeaway for everyone watching: I think starting with drums vs chords is a better route because in the end once u start layering keys you'll know when the record is full ---but when u do it the inverse way u may find yourself reproducing more music to fit the drums you've added

Kyle, that's awesome. You know what's missing in the music industry these days? Creativity. The executives run the show today and all they want is a "formula" to make money. The future of music is on the internet with artists like you. Great work.

I'm also so glad they added the crossfade. Upgraded to FL21 yesterday and it change my workflow a bit. Easier to get a natural sounding ending of a track after bouncing without too much automation.

I just love this - I've been getting more inspired by playing direct into the DAW with audio on a hardware synth rather than messing about with MIDI - wasn't sure if I was on the right path, but watching you absolutely boss this beat has got me so inspired! Thank you!

Great video! Not sure about using the 'lately bass'. As much as it caught the late 80s, it was primarily used in the early 90s, and has a club feel, and not really an earlier 80s sound, but hey, it's all good.
