This was Kylie's fourth UK single and hit no2. It was originally billed as a double A side with Made in Heaven but was so successful they ended up not flipping it. By this point Kylie wss the biggest selling artist of 1988 in the UK and the youngest woman to have a no1 UK album.

Not my favourite song of hers, but I appreciate her incredible talent. She can do anything, act, sing, produce, write songs, choreography, reinvent herself. I am an Aussie and one of the most insulting things that was said about her early in he career was that she was the "Singing Budgie". She was very hurt by this and in 2009 on her North American Tour she dispelled that myth by playing a medaly of songs including "Confide in Me" which proved that she can sing very very well. I have spoken with vocal coaches and because she is a small lady sometimes she can sound a bit nasalie, but this is totally normal. She has an incredible vocal range and unique voice. She can sing soft and sexy and then sing opera. What a range! Then in 2018 she released Golden where her voice tuned country. What a talented inspirational artist! I am in awe of her talent and can't wait to see her in concert in 2025. ❤❤❤❤❤

This song is from her Kylie album. I used to own it on cd. It’s from not long after she left the Australian soapie called Neighbours. If I’m not mistaken, she is the main act in Las Vegas at the moment.

Commercially, the song received good chart success, peaking in the top ten in countries including Finland (where it peaked at number one), Ireland, New Zealand and the United Kingdom, while peaking in the top twenty in countries like Australia, France, Germany, and Norway.
