Many pop stars have released/created futuristic-oriented tracks, but Kylie seems to be the only one that knows the formula full well, as the others have failed to keep their tracks fresh throughout the years.
@xxxTIN0xxx7 жыл бұрын
It's unbelievable she didn't release this as a single, this song is exciting, crispy, unusual, experimental. In my opinion the singles off this record should have been "2 Hearts -In My Arms-Speakerphone-Like a Drug-Cherry Bomb".
@xxxTIN0xxx6 жыл бұрын
I've noticed that 2 Hearts tends to be overlooked by Kylie's fans and I can't help but ask why because it's a fantastic song. It's true that it doesn't belong to this album at all because it is a rock-ish song that kinda breaks the cohesive style of this electronic dance album but I think it's a gem in Kylie's entire catalog. "The One" is ok, I was a bit disappointed when she released it as a single. I wish either "Like a Drug" or "Sensitized" had been singles replacing "Wow" and either "Nu-Di-Ty" or "Cherry Bomb" replacing "The One". As for Speakerphone, not releasing it as a single was Kylie's biggest mistake besides rejecting "Toxic".
@lkumiksm5 жыл бұрын
I would probably include Magnetic Electric into this list as a lead single... that songs takes 10 seconds only to lift you up.
@thingthang29044 жыл бұрын
I love 2 Hearts but I think a lead single should represent the album a little bit better. It would’ve been a great third or fourth single. The One I feel does the best job of representing a pretty versatile/non-cohesive album (it’s dancey, electronic yet still has some melancholy).
@edmgarcia19544 жыл бұрын
Cherry Bomb would have KILLED!!!
@xxxTIN0xxx4 жыл бұрын
@@thingthang2904 "2 Hearts" is fantastic. I love when artists make something different and out of their comfort zone. I came to the conclusion that the vast majority of Kylie's fan-base is made of dance music lovers, that is why 2 Hearts wasn't welcomed as other songs. At the end of the day she made the right decision by releasing it, it's a great song/video in her catalog.

Why does Kylie work? She's a futurist! Everything from the past, present and future still sounds like it time-travelled from the glittery futuristic skyline terrace of Can't Get You Out Of My Head's Londonium... Circa 2525... It can't get old if it hasn't been written yet, yo! ;-)

Lyrics: (Music make you lose control) Lights, mind, eyes, hearts Lights (flashing), sound (clashing) Mind (blowing), body (rocking) Eyes (locking), lips (touching) Hearts (pumping), pressure (rising) Breath (taking), rump (shaking) Music (make you), lose (control) Playing on your speakerphone Track repeat go on and on Drop your socks and grab your mini boombox Do the pop lock, body rock, let the beat drop Till you're shell shocked, baby, what? Tell me what you got Rock hard like a cinder block Through your head bone, temple bone Through your jaw bone To your neck bone, collar bone, let it go on To your back bone, moving on through your hip bone When you're playing on your speakerphone Track repeat go on and on Lights (flashing), sound (clashing) Mind (blowing), body (rocking) Eyes (locking), lips (touching) Hearts (pumping), pressure (rising) Breath (taking), rump (shaking) Music (make you), lose (control) Playing on your speakerphone Track repeat go on and on With your friend or on your own On the street or in your home Feel the buzz and hum along Playing on your speakerphone Let the stars collide Stop your pockets going ring-a-ding-dong Turn your thing on speakerphone We can get it on Set your mind on freaky mode Where you want to go feel the buzz grow? Let it blow Through your head bone, temple bone Through your jaw bone To your neck bone, collar bone, let it go on To your back bone, moving on through your hip bone When you're playing on your speakerphone Track repeat go on and on
