Thank you for waiting! In this episode of Road Trip Middle East my journey continues to the town of Kashan and on to the capital city of Tehran. I meet a wonderful young entrepreneur, Setareh, who started a company helping tourists to financially navigate the country, using Bitcoin and local debit cards.

Thank you to all the Iranians who suggested beautiful music for me to use.

Translation of the Song "Booye Gandom" by Dariush That is played around 7:25 The scent of wheat is mine All I have is yours A handful of soil is mine All I sow is yours (2) I'm the infested member of this Oriental tribe, you are the glass traveler from Occident my skin is made of night, your skin is of red velvet My dress is my blisters, yours the skin of a panther The scent of wheat is mine All I have is yours A handful of soil is mine All I sow is yours (2) In your thoughts are skyscrapers and that forest made of steel I'm thinking about a room in your size to sleep My body is my soil, your body like wheat plant Our bodies are the thirstiest of all thirsty ones for a drop of water Your city, the land of Occident, its people wearing cashmere My town, a town of prayer, with all its domes made of gold Your body is the axe, my body is a persistent root But a beating picture of a heart, still remains on the tree The scent of wheat is mine All I have is yours A handful of soil is mine All I sow is yours (2) I shall not sing an elegy for the soil of my body You are just a traveler, I'm the blood in the veins of this place My body doesn't like to be injured by your hand So I shout to anyone who is here, and who is not; The scent of wheat is mine All I have is mine A handful of soil is mine All I sow is mine (2)

I've seen dozens of vlogs on Iran shot by foreign tourists just as interesting as each other this one is of a rare emotional and philosophical depth and is much more than a vlog because it is full of common sense from the beginning to the end 02:07 this confusion is also what is called an identification (A.KORZYBSKI founder and theoretician of The General Semantics), identification of the "political" class of a country to the people of this country and belief that both are juste the same thing it's true that you can not know what's behind a closed door unless you open it and enter the house it's once again a jewel of video aesthetics: close-ups make us almost touch objects with our fingers it's no coincidence that you live in Florence, the elite city of Leonardo da Vinci and cradle of Renaissance art good luck and have a good trip! Greetings from Algeria

What should I say I mean just amazing heartwarming. No perfect words to describe how I felt watching all this part. It's really special for me because sometimes big companies with big budget and with big crew can't even capture such emotions in there videos and just produce some meaningless commercial videos and.. you no crew all alone with your pure 💓 and hard-work many many nights working till 4Am or 5Am and this is the reason why you deserve such appreciation. Your pure 💓 and pure thoughts makes this series more beautiful.❤️❤️❤️ Thank you my friend for this.🙇🙇

Truly magnificent! One of my favorite things about traveling is that we break down the barriers of stereotypes that we've been taught by the media. After almost thirty years in the military I had many preconceived ideas about certain countries and people. I've come to realize that we are all pretty much the same. We want to be happy and enjoy life. Your beauty shines like a beacon calling us all to go out and learn these things for ourselves. Thank you for yet another wonderful video! Hugs from Texas!

Thanks kylie on this beautiful video about Iran. As technology has shrink the distance between countries now we can see the true face of Iran coz of people like you who are meeting with common people of the country which is amazing. In my view if you want to explorer any place of this planet then visit the local peoples house, eat with their food & learn their cultures with them then only you can explorer that place truly. As great Persian Scholar Rumi said ' You are not a drop in the Ocean. You are the entire Ocean in a drop.' Keep up the good work & explore the true beauty of these beautiful place called 'Earth'... As an Iranian I am scared to go to Iran. I have family members there and every time I talk to them they complain about life there. With school work the economy the restrictions etc. basically they are waiting for some changes with the current government. They have been to US many times as tourists but they cannot live or afford to live in US. Even when they visit family help them to enjoy their visit. Ten million Iranians live outside of Iran. Greatest number of immigration from Iran in its history. I dare this lady to live in Iran by herself for few years and then she can record a documentary about her experience.

And I believe that is also the only thing that can really change the world. I don't understand people that need to criticize when someone try to bring more positivity and beauty into this world, it's enough people that do the opposite. It's easy to criticize and much harder to contribute to the solution. Kylie! Keep doing what you do! It's needed. Love your work!

Kylie, I've forwarded your series to loads of people. Thank you for your bravery to embark on your adventure in capturing and showing the essence of what Iran is. The Greek invasion, the Arab invasion and forcing Islam onto us, the Mongolian invasion and the current hogwash will never squash the Iranian spirit and way of life. Your filming, editing and choice of music is top notch!

Kylie, I've loved your Iran adventure and experience - clearly demonstrating your observation of their strong sense of self-identity and their undying "Persian-pride" heritage - by immersing yourself in a sincere and sensitive fashion in understanding them and their situation amid all the complexities that lie therein. As per the level of authenticity you manage to portray your Persian experience here, I would like to share with you a more authentic way of expressing thanks (as you do at the end of your video) in pure Persian, which I hope (and guess) you might appreciate. "Sepaas gozaaram": I'm grateful/thankful or simply "Sepaas": Thanks Kylie jaan, man az taw sepaas gozaaram! Dear Kylie, I'm grateful to you!

Hi Kylie. I have never met you in person and I probably never will. However, I commend you for your openness to explore to some degree the depth and breadth of Iran. I am sure that what you do and are doing in documenting your personal experience is valuable and (weighty) addition to counter-balancing what I imagine to be negative, exaggerated and perhaps even untrue stories about Iran. Thank you for giving us a different and beautiful glimpse. I would love to travel there myself one day. Most of all, I sense you are balanced, conscientious and reasonable - particularly the way in which at the beginning of this video & in the others I've watched you provide some disclaimers about limitations and caution of interpretation of your content. That is such responsible journalism. Clearly, your going there is being validated every day. Keep it up and I wish you all the best in your travel!

I cried when you interviewed this beautiful lady inside and outside She is so brave and elegant and gentle and strong And humble at sane time so mighty I am a South African Muslim and am starting my own business and she inspired me so so much As I have such big dreams and need to help women in my country. But I was stuck on even taking a step and only this week I took the first step and this interview was perfect for me And she said it beautifully just take one step at a time because when you see the whole picture and the work and money needed You freeze Thanks for inspiring me Maybe one day we all meet as we all just took our first steps to becoming business women God bless her and you and all women starting their own business With Faith More strength and courage And good luck and doors of blessings to open INSHALLAH

Dear Kylie, I came cross your 5 parts about Road Trip in Iran and how genuine you have been through your journey in Iran. I was born and raised in Shiraz and have been living in NZ for the past 17years, I truly love and appreciate your videos and the truth you have put out there, I have cried and smiled with your videos (and I am watching them again with my kiwi partner tonight and my 21 year old son who hasn't been back for 8years). I think I feel homesick and your videos was just what I needed. So watching and listening to your videos made me proud of my first home and who I am, as you said we all have lots of things in common and that is kindness, everywhere around the world. I guess despite politics and borders we are all from one race, human race and we all appreciate kindness, integrity, humanity. Absolutely love your videos and your choices of music was also absolutely incredible. Love To you, Aida xx
