PART 1: PAUL GILBERT SHOWS ME HOW TO PLAY ROCK GUITAR!

In the first episode of my chat with Mr Big guitarist, Paul Gilbert, he reveals how to play rock guitar, how his room mate during his early Mr Big days was Satchel from Steel Panther and that they formed a covers band together and the importance of leaning the songs from the greats and how when he first started playing he only played with one finger and stroked up. Paul is one of the most inspirational musicians ever! He dropped his ability and technical prowess down to 1% in order to convey the spirit of modern rock and blues in this interview. He displays sheer class in the way he adapts his conversation to suit the subject. The way he explains what he can do in his sleep to a fresh music student who would otherwise be unable to comprehend it all is truly magnificent. @@KylieOlsson my favourite of all time too and kudos to you your questions were fresh and I guess from his enthusiasm in answering them (though he always seems to be a bundle of joy every time), he enjoyed that too because he seems to be getting a lot of the same questions in most of his interviews. I have never seen anybody more happy to play music than Pablo, a guitar in his hands and he seems happy and good to go and its contagious, it lights up my day.
