This just makes me sad at how this scene literally gives no impact in the film. Even Alderaan got more emotional impact than this, as it was given some minor establishment as a "peaceful planet" before it got blown up. Here we just got a monologue that leads up to planets that you'd otherwise not even given a single thought about being blown up.

Yeah. I like the new star wars movies, but I feel like this was just not very impactful.

It really wasn't because we did not know if any of the main characters lived there. In ANH, we knew it was Leia's home and it was sad. In the show Resistance, which y'all might not like, the main character was known to live there, and when he saw this happen to his planet, at least I felt remorse for him... Edit: not to mention that his dad was in one of those planets too...
