To be fair, I think you could easily justify Vader's lack of emotion coming from Anakin's high emotion levels as being him emotionally shutting down after the events of Episode 3 as a trauma response

The killing of the younglings by Anakin is meant, I think to be him killing himself. The death of his innocence and dreams, by his own hand, so he can become this dark lord who has control. That 'what are we going to do?' kid just looks so much like ep1 Anakin, it can't be a coincidence.

Ben Solo NEVER should have died in the end. Imagine having to live with the results of his actions. But nope... To much effort for Disney.

Luke does learn to move objects offscreen, but Empire Strikes Back does something neat with it, making it part of the theme and his growth. He struggles to pull his saber to escape the Wampa, Yoda shows him what mindset he needs to move things, feeling the connections in the world between everything... and when he fights Vader at Cloud City, bam - Luke can pull his saber to his hand in a single moment.

Anakin/vader was relatable on why he turned. After my daughter's passing away, i identified with anakin. I understood vader. Because after a loss like that you think about what you would do to bring them back or be able to save them.

Ben should have been the main protagonist. Btw the prequels are about Obi-wan becoming a Jedi Master and his failure to save Anakin from Darth Sidious.

Honestly, i never saw vader's betrayal of the emperor as a 'redemption arc' but that he saw he had been lied to. For decades. I can save your wife, wife dies, hey the kids survived. Kill them. I can turn him, dont kill my kid its what i care about. Emperor then zap luke down. Vader gets up, and then keeps zaping luke, not even paying attention to vader, or caring about his opinion in the situation. He's being ignored. The big angry dad is seeing the man he trusted, betray him again, and is killing his son, someone he would rather have than him around.

I grew up on the OG trilogy long before the prequels and I always liked Vader’s sudden turn against Palpatine. It’s like actually seeing his son in pain and dying shook his conviction just enough to act on instinct to protect him. One of my biggest problems with the prequels is Anakin just getting sealed into the suit and becoming Vader at the end. The OG always gave me the impression that his body was gradually replaced with machinery, which would be allegorical for him losing his humanity over time until even he thinks he no longer has any.
