It's sad that his own family never truly reached out to him when he was under Snoke. Luke, Han and Leia- none of them tried to understand him. Han tried it only once but it resulted in his death The only person who truly reached out to him during his darkest times was Rey. And Rey wasn't even his family, she had no obligation to do so but she still risked her life to bring him back. She even considered him as her home(as mentioned in the novelization) In the end, Kylo/Ben should have been alive and be with the one person whom he loved the most, i.e, Rey... instead of returning to a dead family

I knew where you were going with this as soon as I heard him say "you're so right", didn't even need to read the description. The classic "they think I'm a bad person, might as well become one". You wish to fulfill that image, and you lose the real you in the process. Good thing, bad thing? I see a little too much of myself in that principle, although I wish I could embrace it without shame, instead of going back as I step. Enough of the edgy stuff. Going back to Kylo, I'm sure JJ didn't really think of him as that, but I can't blame him, since he's not just that. That's the beauty of it, giving fictional characters our own meaning.
