I love the work you had the courage to do, perfectly bringing this masterpiece back into Renoise. I did the same thing with OP1 (you can find it in my videos). It would be a dream if you could share the Renoise project to learn 😊

Nice and crunchy with the 4-bit samples. I do wonder how the song would sound if the SID chip sounds were mixed with 16-bit samples for a kind of modern remake of the song.

Let's try adding sinc interpolation! 😄

amazing, how did you extract the audio samples exactly? i wanted to do this a while ago
@KYLXBN15 күн бұрын
I just loaded the ROM data as 4-bit audio samples and manually inspected and trimmed each audio sample I can hear (see)!

@@KYLXBN hmm i see, i wanted to extract them by trimming each with a hex editor instead (saving them as raw first) but that's easier xD

@@ruby_RSound3Hex editor would be difficult since we're playing with 4-bit samples here! Hex editors are pretty much limited to editing groups of 8-bit values. In this case, I did load the 4-bit data as audio but I padded each 4-bit sample with zeros so they are seen as 16-bit. (For example, the sample 1011 would be loaded as the 16-bit sample 1011000000000000 This doesn't really affect or change the sound though. Zero padding is harmless :)

aww that’s awful. Dunno how much a stranger’s words across the internet will do for you, but someone’s looking out for you; may that be professional help, or a random commenter on KZbin😅 I’ll just say that im looking forward to what ever you can push out [if I can watch it at least] so don’t give up on this, at least your making someone happy 😊
