Bernie Andrews The manual I have for the S 200 says to hold the right button down for 5 seconds to put the clock into service mode. Then hold both buttons for 2 seconds and that should reset the service light. Hope this works for you.....Thanks for watching.

Thanks for your time. I've a dubt. When i remove the filter oil i don't understand if, after cleaned it, when i must put the oil filter (filter has a form like a cone) in his "house" the the tip of the filter is facing upward or downward. To be clearer when i put in the hole the tip is facing upward o downward ? Thanks Thanks Thanks.....

I watched very carefully and the reason you had to reach in for your filter screen is you had it upside down. You can find numerous kymco service pictures showing it screen bowl side down sitting in the spring between the outside cover and oil filter gasket. Looks like it doesn't kill a bike, but you may consider that for your bike's sake. Still very grateful that you give of your time to educate others. Hope my comment helps. Maybe my eyes are screwy, but it really looked like you had screen side up and gasket down. thanks

Interesting. Thanks for noticing that. I will try the screen in the other way the next time I change the oil. It may not matter much however as I have never found any debris in the screen.

yes, with the gasket upside down, you would logically get no debris as the filter is bypassed and anything that hit the screen would be washed off in the flow.

Yup, I just did the first oil change on my mom's Like 200i and the filter was placed with the basket inside the spring, not above it. This video was helpful regardless, thanks.

Yep, your filter screen is up-side-down. It fits down into the spring. Also, you'll rarely need the whole .9L in.....add .75 or .8 and then start checking the dipstick...so you don't over fill again. And, finally - let the engine run for a bit before racing the engine like you did. Oil must circulate first before you do that. Give it 30 seconds, not 3. You are replacing the washers, yes?

My manual says on page 49 Recommended Gear Oil SAE #90. This is available from most car parts and motorcycle places.

Couldn't you have just emptied the oil from the bolt with the filter in it? Thats what the manual directs i hadn't even heard of the bolt on the other side.

eraldorh yes you could. However the opening is rather large and the oil will come out rather fast and may make a mess while you try to catch the oil strainer and spring. Using the side drain will let the oil out slower.

Turn on the ignition, but leave the engine off. This will turn on gas flow to the carb. Then open the drain screw on the carb. The gas will drain out a tube at the bottom of the bike. Be sure to put a bottle on the tube to catch the gas. I have a video that shows how to access the drain screw on the carb.....Thanks for watching.

I drained the gas and replaced it with fresh. It started but won't idle. It runs with throttle but when I come to a stop it shuts off. Any ideas?

Mine has the exact opposite problem every spring when we start it after a long winter. It starts, idles okay, but stalls if given throttle. What we have to do every spring is let it idle for 30 minutes, and the heat of idling seems to free up the carb and then it runs okay after that. Try running your engine with the bike on center stand, giving it enough throttle to run, and keep it running until it is hot. Then it may be okay after.
