That is a proper BMW, not like the ones of today, e.g. poor build quality, electrical issues and tinny sounding closing doors. That BMW M5 which I have been trying to find one of these for several years now, but I have never seen one for sale in the UK. I am aware that a mint one like yours, is a £50k car +. Id happily pay it for that era BMW M5, and then sit it in my garage, driven once per week, haha. Beautiful car, THE 5-series to me, is that era. The era of 528i, 535i, and of course the M5, a true, true BMW and no one should ever doubt that. Well jealous you have I think one of the finest examples of an M5 of that era on show today.

Nice! It sounds like e28 m5 and seems to drive fantastic, but the rev counter does not look like m5. What is the story behind the car?

Its originaly 520i, then build to have m535i style look and a e34 M5 engine and a racetrack suitable chassy whit plenty welded reinforcements, but no roll cage or racing seats because then it would look like race car.

Why race with one hand?

Because the steering has lots of slack, the seats are normal leather seats, regular belts and stuff. This means that i am sliding left and right in my seat when cornering. So i use only one hand on wheel to make quik turn changes and other hand is firmly holding on to the seat or gear stick to keep my body some how well placed in my seat. 😄

@@myrkkymikko Yup. The Volvo was another favorite. We have an 850T wagon too. Left it stock because it has bags of miles on her and you know how that goes. I blew up a GM SAAB 9-3 after boosting it, something that NEVER happened on the 7 other SAAB C900 T's I've owned over the years.
