i have a 4200dn with paper jam error but no paper in it. ive checked all tray and paper feed areas. i also blew it all out. any suggestions?

Hi, my printer FS-4200DN shows me an error message "Load paper in MP tray." I have set Cassette 1 by default, but still it wants to use the MP tray. The MP tray door is closed. Do you have any ideas why he doesn't use the default options?

Switch the default paper tray from the manual bypass to tray 1.

Our FS-4200 does not recognize paper in tray 1 anymore. I suspect the white lever piece got out of place (it does not hang down as far as the one here). How do I get that back aligned/fixed?

Usually, one side of the white lever has popped out of alignment. Hold one side of the white lever and flex it back in place. Just don't flex too hard or you might break the lever.

@@Supertechs3 You were right. Thank you so much. I was able to "bend" both parts far enough apart to get the white lever past the black one again. Works fine again. Happy new years eve!

@@mikidjuka5446 try swapping trays with another machine. Your tray could have a broken gear. Also, check the white sensors on the right side bottom of the machine where the paper trays inserts. It's 3 little white sensors make sure they are ok.
