@@mrstrdknmabalz1412 Is Olympic Karate different from Kyokushin Karate because Olympic officials are afraid two athletes from different countries would cause an international incident? That's my speculation at least. Especially when you take nations with historical bad blood between each other into account. Like Japan and Korea or Turkey and Armenia, for example.

Isn't this same as Dutch kickboxing ? Because Cor Hemmers (Golden Glory), Thomas Harnick (Chakuriki), Jans Plas (Meijiro) learned Kyokushin in Japan and added head punches.

Shinken shobu= a shobu(duel) using shinken(live blade). In today context, it just means 'serious game/battle/play. So its does not neccessarily mean "fatal"

Many of kyokushin or other karate or kenpo schools are closing down due to some financial issues or the government officials are changing the rules and demolishing building to build a new house of a product placement and they are forcing the school to move out, relocating their schools to a different place and migrate elsewhere.
