Kyosho deserves the licence. They put so of effort/detail into their Ferrari Diecasts IMO

+YoSneeze I agree Kyosho should have the Ferrari diecast license as long as it's not exclusive to Kyosho, since I can't afford Kyosho and I can't find Kyosho in local Ottawa Walmart and Toys R' Us stores. Then again, it's been a year since May Cheong's exclusivity deal started and I still can't find Bburago or Maisto Ferraris in local stores either so a hypothetical situation where the diecast rights somehow were transferred from May Cheong to Kyosho would probably have zero effect on what I actually can find in local stores.

Indeed. Their best Ferrari works were those Formula 1 cars they did during the DyDo promotion and the 2 Ferrari Formula Minicar Collections.

May Cheong/Maisto used to use the exact same loophole to sell Ferraris in the mid-2000s without getting a sublicense from Mattel. I have a whole bunch of 1/24 scale Maisto Ferraris that were sold as "Assembly Line" kits plus some ~1/39 scale models (which had pullback motors) and even a couple of 1/64 scale "Assembly Line" Ferraris, though those ones aren't nearly as nice as the Kyosho ones. May Cheong also did 1/43 scale Ferrari kits under the Bburago label. I have the 2009 California from them in that scale; it's a bit below Ixo quality but still not too bad for the price.

I would do the same, if i own ferrari, hotwheels didnt realized ferrari is the no. 1 brand to be extra carefull when it comes.making models. You cant compare one brand to the other. They work hard for the brand. Kyosho ferraris is simply exceptional cool. Poeple are welling to pay, if it is worth. No question. Wake up call for hotwheels, too bad, you started since 1968, what happen to you guys, you use to be cool. Yes its $1 model. Thats ok. But your premium models? No head lights, no tail lights what is X with you? Its mot too late.
